A lot of the "forever growing" or more grassy plants that continue to just get taller won't stay trimmed, and I don't mean the normal growth cycle. I trimmed a bunch of my plants down to ground level and went and visited some shops (took just a minute or two) and when I returned to my tanks nearly all of them were back to maximum height.
