So how long before we actually get a functioning defending system that rewards people that defend not the people that dragback as much players as possible and spam bruiser when you're through on goal with no fouls?

This is exactly the same stupid state of the game we had a year ago with even more broken mechanics.
It's not rewarding, not fun and there's literally no skillgap in this game defensively, it's absurd.
People posted, talked about the same thing for months, videos on YT, everyone addressed the same issue for months, and here you guys again with the same "we'll just ignore everyone and release more store packs".
Such a funny thing to compare this game to the trailer you lied to everyone on few months ago.

Double X for bruiser shoulder to shoulder is the main problem. Theirs no one ever taking any risk to tackle anymore. The worst bit about bruiser is it disrupts your players actions on and off the ball to take bad touches, lose ball control or just become delayed in action. It’s the most unbalanced mechanic ever as theirs no counter to it. It needs to be gone.
Double r1 for team press needs to be gone too. Same thing applies, your players become stupid and don’t know how to adopt. Remove these two then you’ll see people defending again.

Stop complaining about bruiser, the core problem is that ai defending is way too strong and manual defending is not rewarding at all. At least bruiser kinda works. I’m defending fully manually therefore i’m happy there is at least something. Before nerfing bruiser they should buff regular tackles and heavily nerf ai defending. The tracking runs these bunkering rats get supported with are mindblowing.

That doesn't change the fact that Bruiser is so broken, you should only be rewarded with that bruiser crap when it's shoulder to shoulder, not from the back, not from your face and it certainly shouldn't be something to compensate the awful tackling system this game has currently, bots simply just spam X non stop when they are next to your player and still win the ball when it's 1000% a foul.
AI defending needs to be buried but beforehand, manual defending should actually exist in this game, it's not even a thing.

Ai defending allows people to not defend … and when they do defend it’s literally them running back with their whole team on team press whilst the user is spamming x on you that has no counter weather you shield it or not. how is that football.

Yeah sure it helps the AI too but in my opinion the incredibly overpowered tracking makes it way worse as the AI controlled players get so close to your players. And only then bruiser comes into play.

M8, people commit freaking FOULS with bruiser and they get away with it, it's not just a technique or w/e, it's completely wrong the way they have it in the game rn, till last year people used both tactical and advanced and bruiser was good overall but rn you can just spam the sh*t out of that X button "not shoulder to shoulder" and the dude would stumble over and you would get the ball effortlessly

Yeah the main problem with bruiser is that is almost never a foul, unless you’re tackling pins or Wilson.. if by god’s kiss you manage to move them with your 6’6 100kg defenders it’s always a foul

We're all using bruiser bruv, we know how it works, I would rather having it nerfed before anything else, it kills most of the well-made chances, dribbles and runs in alot of scenarios, it makes people even lazier on defense, I barely see people put in a tackle anymore because of that crappy mechanic.
But overall, manual defending needs a series buff, AI defending needs to be buried and this bruiser crap has to be toned down like crazy.

First year i had to switch to Advanced defending, such because of that brainless bruiser thing. On tactical u gettin ya ars on a gear stick cause u cant do anything with this stocky and slow manual defending circus.

You're forced to use it because you can literally kill people for the ball, so stupid how this works. 💀
