In older FIFA titles like FIFA 18, FIFA 19, or FIFA 20, the chemistry system made squad building more flexible and interesting. Because chemistry depended heavily on links between players, it allowed users to include a wider variety of players from different leagues, nations, and clubs while still creating strong teams. This encouraged creativity and experimentation instead of everyone using the same small group of meta players.
The current chemistry system feels more restrictive and often pushes players toward very similar squads. As a result, team building can become less diverse and less strategic.
Bringing back the older chemistry style, or at least considering elements of it, could make squad building more dynamic again and allow players to use a broader range of footballers. Many players would appreciate seeing this system return in future games.
