I have been playing a version of FIFA/EAFC for many years, dating back to the 90's when I would host tournaments in my dorm. The game has just lost its enjoyment factor. I had high hopes for this game with all the news of "listening to the customer". I have always been a defender of this game, but I can't do it anymore. The game as so much fun in September when it was released!
- AI defense is still too good. If a player can run around without the needs to switch players, or you can juke, fake, skill, but yet the defender is unshakable something is wrong.
- Players sit back then long-ball pass to a ST who can out-run the CB's, who are constantly out of position, for an easy 1 on 1. Why are they still so wide? And SLOW during this time?
- Passing is atrocious. Point left to go to the wide open runner and the ball goes right, point forward and it goes backwards.
- Player switching makes no sense. How can I "try to" switch to someone who is a yard from the ball yet, get the guy 20 yards away.
- Kickoff issues still exist. Why is AI defense turned up super high expect on kickoffs?
- How can a 83 pace CB keep pace with a 95 pace winger, without the ball?
- Why are double-tap passes or juggle-dribble unstoppable?
- The beginning of the year it was promoted that EVO's will grow all year so you can play with your favorites. Now my team is primarily 88/90 evo's and every evo that comes out now is MAX 86 or 87, so I can't evo anyone I have already evo'd.
- I can't even play w/ the players I want to because all the special modes (live events) have strict player rules. I just want to play with "my" team. (I understand I don't have to play every mode)
- Rebounds are crazy! Not just on shots, but steals. You have to steal the ball 4 times and maybe you will get it.
Time to move on and find a new game to grind... This has been my 'go to' game for 10 years now, but it has lost its luster, now it is a sometimes game.
