ever since EA updated the difficulty on the squad battles AI (which no one seemingly asked for) it's just proving more and more how FC IQ has created this one-dimensional style of play which the AI can follow, without being able to adapt in any shape or form.

At the start of the game AI hoarded the ball, played it around the back and made no attempts to go forwards: Boring

First update: play it out wide, cross it in. didn't work? catch the rebound and try again: predictable and easy to counter as crosses are rubbish in general.

Right now 9/10 games the AI plays as follows: basic 4-4-2, park the bus, hoof it up top to the strikers who stay high, lay it off to a winger rushing up at mach 5. get to the box and pass it back to a striker for a shot on goal.

In all instances the AI is beatable, but it's just stale and boring facing the same way of play over and over again. It shows the foundation of FC IQ is actually rather stupid and the IQ part is probably as high as the game's name: 26. But hey, if this trend continues I assume that in about a 80 years EA will finally be able to create a somewhat competent and dynamic AI to have fun against.

Simpson paradox... they pushed the diversity to a point where there's none because it created a combination of things we need (meta), so we are choosing following the meta and that creates less options.
