Buildups are way too linear and it just feels you're playing against the same people over and over again.

Defensive AI is ok, same as previous releases. You can't just get it by dribbling, you need to build up the action

M8, defensive AI is one of the biggest issues with this game, been so bad for months now, it's not like last years.
You can't go around it by dribbling, circling around to bore your opponent down to find a pass is not "dribbling"
I know how it works but there's literally no defensive skill gap in the game whatsoever, just hold your midfielders and circle around as much as you can and voila, your an elite defender.

You get punished if you manually defend certain plays even if it's the right decision

this is the issue, it's not even park the bus intentionally, every single formation has almost 8 players tracking back into the box, my shots can get blocked by wingers which are not being controlled by the opponent, it's so lame

@quasi pendant you can't defend high (pressing) on the pitch, so there's no alternative to the park the bus. The problem is people thinking that the help of the 2nd man press mech is worse than having to face a park the bus team (normal consequence of not having a balance between defending styles). But it's not only about the tactical choice of defending low, the problem is that cpu interfere too much and it's technically better than manual defending, so even if you 'buff' pressing, you will have the same result because manual tackling is worse than what the cpu tackling is. But removing cpu tackling is removing the main reason you feel VVD or Maldini is better than a Militao or a Kounde and that is removing a reason to buy fc points. They have pushed everything to a limit that if you want to touch something, you need to touch everything.
