I am 37 years old, and normally I would never try to explain myself in communities like this by using insults or offensive language. However, without using any bad words, I honestly don’t know how else to describe how this game is getting worse — not just “bad,” but rapidly and noticeably worse.
When the game was first released, it was genuinely fun to play. Long-distance shots were great, through passes were enjoyable, and the overall gameplay was entertaining. After all, what do you expect from a console game? You expect fun and enjoyment. And in its first version, this game truly delivered that.
Everything started to change when EA Sports responded to players who were constantly demanding more “competitiveness” and a stronger competitive mode by increasing the power of the AI.
In the name of bringing back competitiveness, they turned a fun game — and I repeat, a fun game — into a difficult and overly realistic simulation. It stopped being about enjoyment and became unnecessarily frustrating.
What I also don’t understand is this: the players who keep crying for more competitive gameplay. If you are not good enough, adding more competition will not suddenly make you better. Instead of forcing competitiveness, the developers should have focused on improving the game so it wouldn’t turn into something pointless and disappointing.
The game is already close to dying — probably just a few months away. So I’m calling out to the developers here: please bring the game back to its original release version. Otherwise, people like me will definitely not be buying FC27
