Why continue to put limited entries on events or cups when the gameplay doesn't actually let you play against some of these people?
I win one, I lose one, I win one, I lose one...
I'd be fine with that if I wasn't stuck in mud, my tackles didn't all bounce back, my goalkeeper stopped parrying the ball right back to my opponents for an open net, my passes went where I wanted them to and my AI was on the same level as my opponent.
