Off-the-ball movement lacks any real intelligence. Players seem to follow pre-programmed patterns, as if they were running on rails. The same runs are repeated over and over, with no adaptation to the situation and no awareness of available space. Very often, players simply run straight ahead instead of making smart, well-timed runs into open space.

This lack of variety and game reading makes the gameplay feel artificial and unrealistic. For a football game released in 2025, this is simply unacceptable.

For FC 27, it is essential to completely rework the attacking AI and off-the-ball movement to deliver more intelligent, varied, and realistic runs.

Thank you for acknowledging this I don’t see why people can’t see this! It’s so mind boggling and annoying, trying to create space and expect the Ai attacking to adjust and capitalise on that space but yet they don’t, they just make straight predictable runs… they seem to be extinct when it comes to adjusting …. This has been a thing since FIFA 18 after patch and the Ai has been lacking since. We need to call out for a New Game Engine as this is the only explanation that can justify why this happens.

Bro ! It's so frustrating, you open up huge spaces but the player can't leave their designated lane, like it's a train or something... The last time we had a FIFA game with players who moved intelligently was FIFA 17.
