You guys have a skill issue. The ai defending is trash now. Very unreliable. I used to spam it, no switching now that's risky.

AI defending makes this game unenjoyable. It does everything for you. Every game is conjested and has entire teams in the box that block every shot. If you watched the old game that had the best gameplay, everything was wide open. The games were high scoring. AI defending is a joke how good it is. AI offense is a joke how bad it is. On defense a player can right stick switch to any player instantly to maintain shape and pressure, they can contain, they can teammate contain, they can double man press, they can half team press, they can instantly turn on team press, they can instantly offside trap, the AI also offside traps, they can shoulder barge, they can tackle from behind, they can out run any attacker, they can move laterally faster than ball carriers, they can pull jerseys, they can go into tactics and put 10 guys in their box, the AI auto blocks shots. There are a million more OP defensive mechanics in this game compared to offense which makes defense way better and easier than it should be. There isnt a balance

I agree with everything you’ve said but I think that’s a very good point about the congestion of players and it probably explains why player switching doesn’t seem to work… because the players now are so congested. Before you had more spaces so in both in attack made variations possible and defensively you could switch and play for tactically now it’s game of who can spam the quickest

Just revert back to patch no. 2 where defending was buffed,left stick dribbling was there, jockey was buffed but technical playstyle was nerfed
But timmis with low iq and rtfm wanted to spin like beyblade and then all went downhill from patch no. 3

I’m not sure if I agree with this but EA definitely messed up with the overcorrection of balancing. purposely reducing a skill gap, which ultimately disadvantages of us in the gameplay. EA do will everything in their power to make people stay playing this already dead game. This is what we call rigging/scripting games.

My players are actually never open and all they do is run behind the defenders so I can’t pass to them

Nerf the spamming of X/A. Or make the referees call a foul for once. Clearly this game was made using AI hence AI is so powerful. Leave the joypad and you'll see how OP the AI is.
