The defense is excessively manual, defenders sometimes drop deep into the penalty area for no reason and it's virtually impossible to stop even less physically powerful players inside the box. Furthermore, shoulder-power challenges always work even with much less physical players and midfielders don't adequately support the defense despite being deployed in more defensive roles. Finally, after scoring a goal, it's impossible to defend and in the final minutes those in possession often score improbable goals with defenders failing to make simple interventions, such as being beaten to the ball by players 30 centimeters shorter without any playstyles! This is a soccer game not a tennis game !!!!

Its hard to be better at defending when the ai defenders just move away from the attacker so he can just go through them straight to the goal

AI defenders are way too strong. We ask ea to make defenders worse since Novembrr

Ai has never been good. I recommend playing clubs if you want a realistic football experience.

Most people that play fut want unrealistic high scoring games. And therefore they want terrible defenders

U definitely don’t play high level the defending is awfully op and AI defending is broken people struggle to score when their opponent bullies everyone with a bruiser cm and second-man press with the other cm

It's way to easy to defend with your AI players. They should nerf AI defending like 70 percent so people starts using the closest player instead of boxing out

Use offside trap and team press as soon as you lose the ball. The AI will pretty much do the rest for you as long as you're playing 451 or 4411

Don't forget to put fullbacks on defend too

That’s not the point man, manual defending is horrible, you can completely predict what someone is going to do, but because you’re not letting AI defend for you, you won’t win the ball.

I can tell you that 95% of games I play in the Elite division are people not switching off of their CDMs and just chasing the ball

Somebody can hold 2nd man press, use team press and then just run around with their CDM spamming bruiser

It doesn’t take any skill, and show me a fútbol game that you’ve ever watched in real life that allows players to 2-hand shove people off of the ball with no foul being called?

And this is coming from an Elite division player with high elo that averages 13-15 wins every weekend. Bruiser shouldn’t be in the game, it is a FOUL. It’s a bail out mechanic for people that can’t defend manually. It shouldn’t be in the game at all

Advance defending needs to be nerfed. The shoulder challenges are over powered because you can’t spam AD. It’s super unbalanced.
