Half of the issue with this game are partly due from crossing not being a viable tactic. Players wouldn’t just control CDMs in the middle if I could put a cross in and score a header. They’d actually have to defend the wing and try to stop the cross!
Not sure why but it’s been like this for a few years. It would also add some variety to player usage if tall strikers were actually useful in the air.
EA must track statistics for their decision making, right? Surely they could see that headed goals from open play are 1/100, if not lower.
It would also lead to more attacking fullbacks and 3atb formations being used if the extra wide man actually had a use.
