Subject: Feedback Regarding Player-Controlled Goalkeepers in Clubs Mode
To the Development Team,
I am writing to provide constructive feedback regarding the recent update to player-controlled goalkeepers in Clubs mode. Based on extensive gameplay within the community, there is a strong consensus that the current tuning of these goalkeepers has created a significant imbalance.
The primary issue is that a human-controlled goalkeeper now appears to have excessively high save success rates, making it exceptionally difficult—often seemingly impossible—for opponents to score during regular play. This shifts the competitive balance dramatically and reduces the enjoyment and fairness of matches where one team utilizes this feature.
While the intent to make the goalkeeper position more impactful and rewarding is appreciated, the current implementation risks undermining the core gameplay loop. The challenge and reward of creating scoring opportunities are diminished, which can lead to frustration.
We, as dedicated players, are passionate about this game and want to see it thrive as a balanced and competitive experience. Therefore, we respectfully urge the team to review the performance data for player goalkeepers and consider implementing a balance adjustment in a future update.
Thank you for your time and continued work on the game. We look forward to future improvements.
Sincerely,
A Concerned Player & the Community
