#Manual controls being in competitive mode

In competitive game modes you are forced to play with assistance from the AI for headers, through passes, and lobbed through passes. New players need assistance but I’ve been playing so long that I enjoy the challenge of playing on full manual controls for everything except shot and ground pass. So when playing offline modes I get full access to my controls. Only problem is, really, I enjoy competing against people not the computer. I would much rather play Rivals, Champs, or Rush. Yet, every time you play those modes it forces my controls back to the competitive presets. Which completely changes direction and power on my inputs from what I train for offline. Playing on full manual controls showcases the true raw power behind a player with no handbrake. I would argue it’s the most rewarding experience you can have with a player but also the most challenging to get that reward. When playing full manual, every pass, lob or cross has to be inch perfect to get into your opponents 18 yard box.

Since it is more difficult to perform these actions and also more skillful to have no assistance from the computer; I think EA should allow full manual controls in competitive game modes. It allows players to fully get use out of their players and raises the bar of skill it takes to get that reward. Making this change IS a reflection of what most competitive E-sports mean. Here’s the best example. If I was playing in a MLG Call of Duty console tournament they would allow aim assist for other players, but if I didn’t want aim assist then it’s not like I would be forced to play with aim assist. They would have the option to turn it off. Think about how cool it would be to see a team of guys that are on full manual controls outperform a team of guys using aim assist.

At the end of the day doesn’t it seem more COMPETITIVE to have a human actually making the direction and power choices than to have the assistance of the AI making the direction and power choices for them?
