I’m writing this not just out of frustration, but out of disbelief at how consistently EA fails to meet even the most basic expectations of customer service and product integrity.
I purchased three “Deck the Halls” promo packs after the release of Team 2. Naturally, I expected Team 2 players. Instead, I received Team 1 content, despite the clear implication that Team 2 was live. That’s not an oversight. It’s a bait-and-switch. I paid for one thing and got another. That’s not just bad business, it borders on fraud.
What’s worse is the complete breakdown of customer support. I’ve spent over an hour trying to reach a live agent, only to be redirected to forums and automated replies that offer no help. It feels like the system is designed to wear players down into giving up. If you’re going to take people’s money and not deliver what was advertised, at least have the integrity to admit it. Don’t hide behind broken systems and vague policies.
This isn’t new. EA has a long history of behavior that shows where its priorities lie. Whether it’s quietly patching glitches that benefit players (like improved pack odds), ignoring rampant hacking, or pushing out unfinished content, the message is always the same: profit over people.
EA’s business model thrives on opacity and manipulation. The games aren’t about fun or fairness anymore; they’re about monetization at every turn. And when things go wrong, the burden falls on the consumer to navigate a maze of unhelpful resources.
At this point, it’s hard not to feel overly exploited. Not just by overpriced microtransactions, but by a company that refuses to be accountable. EA doesn’t just ignore its community, it actively undermines it.
I’m not asking for miracles. I’m asking for transparency, responsiveness, and the product I paid for. Until EA delivers that, it doesn’t deserve our trust or our money. Games like Fortnite, Elden Ring, etc still have problems but this company is a different beast. I’m gone.
