I am experiencing severe and persistent lag and stuttering during both cutscenes and core gameplay in EA Sports FC 26.
The issue is highly disruptive and makes the game almost unplayable. The framerate drops significantly whenever a cutscene begins (e.g., goal celebrations, foul replays, pre-match sequences) and often persists into the main gameplay segments. Occasionally, the game will run smoothly for a brief, intermittent period, but the lag quickly returns and is the prevalent state. The game is lagging far more often than it is running smoothly.
This poor performance is present across all game modes I have tried (e.g., Kick Off, Career Mode, Ultimate Team).
My system's hardware is robust and should easily meet the requirements for smooth performance.
Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5-11400H
Graphics Card (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (Laptop)
RAM: 16 GB
Operating System: Windows 11 64-bit
Storage: 512 GB SSD
The lag is most noticeable during any in-game cutscene (e.g., goal replays, substitutions, pre-match intros), but it frequently carries over directly into the actual gameplay. The game often feels like it is running at a very low and inconsistent framerate, despite the capable hardware. The ratio of time spent lagging versus time spent running smoothly is overwhelmingly in favor of lagging.
I have not yet performed any specific troubleshooting steps.
Given my specifications (i5-11400H and RTX 3050), I believe this issue points toward a potential optimization problem within the game itself, or possibly a specific conflict with current drivers or in-game settings.
I urgently request guidance on troubleshooting this specific lag/stuttering issue to achieve the expected consistent and high-framerate performance on my gaming laptop.
Would you like me to make any other adjustments, or would you like to review any potential troubleshooting steps you could try before sending?
