The game feels much better after this update. It’s much more enjoyable now, with more space and time to build up play instead of constantly being pressed by the AI. Defensively everything feels more manual, the backline drops correctly, and midfielders track back more intelligently. Skill moves and agility also feel smoother — previously players felt heavy and slow, especially during connection issues.

The only thing that still feels slightly unbalanced are the shots: they are a bit too easy to score and the shot power seems too high.

Overall, this is the best update for me so far.

Strange. I have found defending worse. My players are always out of position

@weak tulip Compared to before, the game feels much more manual now — and I think that’s exactly what players should want. Otherwise, every match feels the same. With time and practice, defending will become easier, but overall the game is much more fun in its current state.

I get that. It's more realistic if anything. I think with practice it'll be good. Just thought it was an unnecessary change but maybe good in the long run. They'll probably change it again in 2 weeks though

Leave your feedback to EA, it always helps, and if it goes back to how it was before, the game will simply die like it was starting to happen

I think you guys need to try turning the game off and on again. What I’m saying is that the game is more fun than before because you can clearly see that the defence isn’t as automatic anymore. Unless we’re not playing the same game, because it’s obvious that Auto Def isn’t pressing as much or closing everything in front of the box. I’m not saying the game is perfect now, because I think shots are way too easy to score, but I prefer to lose and at least be able to dribble and pass the ball, rather than receiving the ball and losing it instantly without the opponent having to do anything.

Yeah, it’s not in the patch notes, but they always make micro-adjustments even without a major update. And of course the defence isn’t as tight at the back anymore. I even played around 7 games yesterday before coming here to leave my comment. Anyway, the shooting and the goalkeeper definitely need some balance, because almost every shot ends up being a goal
