#Patch After Patch After Patch

Every year EA releases a new game and then immediately starts patching the core gameplay within the first weeks. Sometimes we already get 3–4 major gameplay changes in the first month alone — and that makes absolutely no sense. When a new game comes out, players first need time to adapt, learn the mechanics and understand the new gameplay. You can’t just change everything after one week because some people are losing.

Of course real bugs should be fixed (like kickoff issues or broken skill moves), but that’s different from completely changing how the game plays. The actual gameplay should be left alone for a while so players can properly adapt to it.

At the start of EA FC 26, defending was harder and games had more goals — and that was fun. You actually had to learn how to defend properly. Now the game just rewards people for letting the AI defend for them while they do nothing and wait for counter attacks. That’s not skill, that’s automation.

Ultimate Team is supposed to be a competitive mode, not a realistic simulator. If someone wants slow, realistic 1–0 or 0–0 games, that’s what Career Mode is for. But FUT should stay fast, skill-based and consistent — not completely rewritten every few weeks.
