I really don’t understand the R1 dribbling hate

You guys ask for the wrong solutions

They should be nerfing a players ability to change direction and accelerate completely abnormally. That way all the circle dribbling and abnormal changes of direction are nerfed

And normal

They also need to increase the IQ of off ball AI defenders and nerf the IQ of on ball AI defenders

That way people can’t AI defend people while sitting on their CDM or CAM or wtv

And actually encourage the player to go one on one with the opposition ball carrier

Nothing wrong with R1 dribbling , it's just the fact that you should not be able to do it with literally everyone on the pitch , R1 dribbling with VVD or Saliba or anyone that doesn't have the playstyle , at least the base version of it , not the plus , should be less efective. that's all

Only true dribbling artists like Yamal, Messi, Wirtz, C. Ronaldo, Musiala, Doku, Dembele, Vini Jr. and other dribbling players should be able to do that.

In the current state , you ca r1 dribble with gk as good as tech + players , and this is annoying

A friend of mine is spamming R1 dribbling with every single player on the pitch , even with the keeper

And for sure , he is not alone , more than half of the matches in Wl

The common goal is R1 until you are in the box , and finesse shot

80% of the goals scored this time

Thing is, there’s center backs who R1 dribble out of their defense in real life. They should change it so if you don’t have high agility, dribbling, and ball control it’ll be far less effective

But if you’re like a center back you can R1 dribble in a straight line to carry it out of your defense and make a pass

But if they try a crazy change of direction the touch should be off

Thing is this game doesn’t do everybody justice with the play styles.

Mbeumo doesn’t even have the technical playstyle

And R1 dribbling is basically his signature move

They also didn’t give him any type of finishing playstyle despite him being a pretty lethal finisher

And they thought it was a good idea to give him gamechanger+ which I thought was very weird

They could’ve gave him rapid+, quick step+, technical+,press proven+, low driven+, or finesse shot+

But they’d rather give him gamechanger+ which is not only the worst one possible but also the one that made the least amount of sense

He should have it as a normal playstyle
