Hi everyone, I’d like to share some feedback about skill moves in EA FC 26, focusing on balance and realism.
It is very common in Rivals / FUT Champs to face opponents who spam a very high number of skill moves in a single match with almost no impact on stamina. In real football, no player performs dozens of skills per match; physically that would not be realistic. In-game, if the user has the mechanics, they can abuse skills with almost no physical penalty. This makes the gameplay feel less like real football and creates frustration for new or casual players, who may even stop playing competitive modes.
My suggestion is that skill moves should have a clear stamina cost, especially when they are spammed. For example, if I use a player like Mbappé (or any 5 skills / 5 WF / 4/4 ) and perform around 8–10 skills in a short period, the stamina bar should drop noticeably, not stay almost full. There could be an incremental stamina cost for each extra skill in a sequence, so after several skills the player clearly loses stamina and physical performance – acceleration, agility, responsiveness. This would make skills more situational and strategic, instead of something that can be used non-stop all game. This tuning could be applied more strongly in competitive modes like Rivals / FUT Champs and more lightly in casual modes and friendlies.
My question is: is there any plan to review this balance so that excessive use of skill moves has a real stamina cost and the experience feels closer to real football?
I believe this would bring several benefits – less skill move spam and abuse, lower frustration for newer or casual players, and skilled dribblers would still stand out, but with a more realistic and fair physical cost.
