It’s done so purposefully (put into the net code) to benefit the meta abusers who sit back with 9 players in their box and can’t actually pass the ball or do any sort of build up play.
Why? Bc they spend the most money on the game! Nothing EA loves more then their little sugar babies

just ai defending and first time through balls over and over again
or normal through balls
not a single creative and skilled build up
how can this game be "COMPETITIVE" if theres no skill just meta abusing and glitch abusing as well as a poorly optimized game
even triple A story mode games have better optimizations with far better graphics
