Me and two of my friends have stopped playing Champions. I’m going to list the reasons we talked about among ourselves.
-First of all, the matchmaking is unbelievably ridiculous. If you lose, the game absolutely gives you an even harder opponent and makes things worse for you. There is clearly something wrong here — normally, when we lose, we should face an easier opponent who is in similar form, but that never happens. Anyone who claims the opposite, I will never believe. Please bring realistic matchmaking based on the form graph.
-Remove Challengers and make all divisions able to enter Champions. Remove the required points for Champions as well. Because at this rate, there will be no lazy/casual players left in the game. If everyone is forced to play try-hard, they will only trigger each other and the burnout will increase instantly.
-Incisive passes are insanely strong, and every player is spamming them. This should be a risky playstyle. If ball losses increased, it would at least have some kind of punishment. But since the success rate is so high, people can spam it way too easily. These are also very hard to defend. There are so many people who pull their defensive line all the way back, give no space behind, and just try to counterattack using only incisive passes.
-AI defending is absolute madness. It literally imitates the movements of the players I control. And it can even make tackles on its own. Sure, having it be more active might sound good at first, but how healthy is it for a CPU player — one my opponent isn’t even controlling — to steal the ball completely on its own?
-When people said “we can’t defend,” what they wanted was for our own manual responsiveness to be improved. Nobody asked for the AI to be buffed. There are many ways to strengthen manual defending — for example, you could slightly increase jockey speed, or raise tackle success rates. But you should never boost CPU defending like this. I ate 9 autoblocks in a single match. 999999
