Feedback :

AI defending and 2nd man pressing

(the issue right now seems to be about how assisted the latter is and how it tracks perfectly and tackles even, this shouldn't be a thing, exactly like the AI shouldn't perform tackles for you.)

Solution : I think the solution could be to make 2nd man pressing cooldown longer and not make it tackle for you. As for the AI defending, I would look at manmarking, sometimes during cutbacks, the cb spontaneously leaves their man/women, to try and pursue a player that isn't theirs but of the fullback, doing that, they leave space in the middle for an easy goal.
Another thing would be to make stand tackles matter more, I mean, the substats, it's useless right now, or just, it isn't working as intended.
Attackers shouldn't be able to take the ball away from everybody that easily.
Nerf AI defending, it shouldn't tackle for you and track everything.
As for low blocks, they should be punished if done automatically, they should drain stamina faster, it shouldn't be incentivized, because right now the only way to attack is trough counters, this means that with the quantity of CPU we have right now in defense, low block + counter is the most risk free way to go, which shouldn't be the way to approach the game.

Feedback : Manual defending

(while manual defending isn't bad, I think it's still subpar. Lots of times even if you track the runs, your players seems to slow down or not reach the ball, de-incentivizing an aggressive playstyle. The Bruiser playstyle is better but it should be even better. After every failed tackle, the time required to do another is too short, incentivizing spam.)

Solution : tracking the runs should result in your players successfully anticipating the opposing player if they have enough advantage like it often happens.
The Bruiser playstyle should work like FC25 it was perfect there.
As for tackles spam, make it so players can only attempt a tackle and then another after a short span of time, that would make them THINK about which tackles to execute and when.

I personally don't think R1 has problems or turning even, the competitive preset is supposed to be fast and responsive, but I do understand those who rather have a more simulative gameplay

However, these type of players should advocate for the Authentic preset to be put online instead of trying to change the nature of the competitive preset which is tailored as a responsive, fast and agile gameplay

You just want authentic in seasons which is perfectly obtainable and would ruin nothing for anyone, if anything it would improve the general experience for those who are seeking for a more simulative gameplay

Wonderfully well written and thorough feedback. No complaints here.

If anything they should start testing that gameplay in online seasons because it wouldnt ruin anything for anyone

Then see if people would like it in FUT too

#

Another thing I would like to add is that even if the servers are awful and that makes the gameplay inconsistent
Nerfing the CPU as a whole would still make for a bigger difference in skills for players unrelated to connection, but right now the game feels less in control and more casual due to how overpowered the cpu is.

Feedback: Situations in which you aren't in control/rebounds/bouncebacks

Solution : nerfing cpu all-around would help the players feel more in control of everything, the games would have less random factors like rebounds or bouncebacks making the whole experience more skill based and less based on connection performances

I'm sure that by doing this, even if the servers are underwhelming to say the least, players would still count on their skills to win the game with the minimal cpu interference and less random events in which the player isn't in control (unfair)

i agree with all your points my main problem is that i get tackled before i can even do anything with the ball if i just won the ball there should be a higher chance to keep it (at least against attacking players)

also i would like to play ut with authentic gameplay not just seasons (at least all singeplayer modes + games against friends)

The tackle thing by attackers it's bad I know, try to use L2 to shield the ball especially with those with enforcer

#

Nonetheless to say it doesn't work if you have bad gameplay because the server responses are late

Share this maybe, they need to see

Well said but one aspect I disagree with is Manual Defending is dogs*** and still unrewarding compared to first release, it's less worse tbf but that's still not enough....
You still can't (rightfully) physically body others when you should, which is why Pina is still OP because Manual defending not just being bad but punishable, the moment you touch your CB you're over in the current "meta" and before anyone try say I'm bad in this AI defending slopfest...
I'm seeing a Pro content creator that I regularly watch accidently moved his CBs and his opponent who's also a pro probably got the chance and scored.
The guy said "I shouldn't have moved my CB", a pro saying that moving your CB is "a mistake" shows the current state of manual defending...

#

I shouldn't be limited to only "Jockeying" when the moment you try to Jockey the defender feels slower compared to AI controlling them....
You can't simply jockey forever and good luck Jockeying against a fidget spinning Pina, this is beyond ridiculous.

#

And I'm sorry but I should be bullying attackers while I control VVD, starting with Pina herself...
And yesterday I played against a Gyokeres spamming L2 enforcer and I can't manually tackle him with VVD even when I logically should but manual defending is incompetent and tackling animation doesn't work or stupid mental gymnastics happen, when in reality VVD would mop the floor with him.

#

Physical tackling isn't working no matter how much I would break the A button even if my timing and decision should be right but still don't get rewarded, and no using B tackle could be risky inside the box because a stupid animation could cause me a pen (thanks Hypermotion)

#

So atm to properly defend, you're forced to let AI do it or just "Jockey" and wait for the ball, and that's not good.

Unless the female has a +5 or even +10 over the male player's stats they shouldn't be as effective.

Ea please nerf the fidget spinning left stick dribbles and insane r1 dribble.

To those who want attacking to be more and more broken op... Instead of constantly asking for help through broken attacking mechanics why don't just learn to attack better? Do you want all other defenders to get out of your way so that you can just abuse every mechanic and score?
