Assist settings make absolutely no sense in what is supposed to be a competitive game. Offering all three options in offline modes is one thing but when it comes down to a player vs player experience user error means a lot. Being able to just push forward and hold down the pass button and their passes magically find a target while avoiding my players is not competitive, it's scripted.
Force the user to take a moment and properly think about their next action on the ball.

Absolutely agree and this is why I’m completely against R1 + X passing, since it’s introduction I feel like it’s created this ping ball gameplay we play because it’s removed the purpose of building attacks properly of having to charge your passes to find the right target and replaced with this unrealistic first time touch full power pass button that doesn’t punish the user and that’s why pressing for the ball is so much harder, and why it seems like passing is bad. They need to remove R1 + X passing and make the players have to think about the distance of the passes and how much power is required to reach them

Trying manual passing also through but this is bs. Through balls can go full power even when its half the bar, passing is good but also sometimes player isnt responding to receive the ball

Fully agree. It is way too easy to pass around like nobody's business. The content creator and pros all use assisted settings to play. The default for online mode should be semi.
