The goalkeeper behavior in one-on-one situations against strikers in offline modes requires improvement. Currently, goalkeepers rarely leave their goal area and remain essentially static on the goal line, failing to effectively close down space. This makes scoring too easy, repetitive, and lacks challenge. We propose implementing a balanced goalkeeper AI system that neither causes them to rush out excessively nor remain stationary. Instead, a middle-ground approach would be optimal, with goalkeeper behavior varying based on individual goalkeeper attributes and stats.
