Hello EA Sports Team,
I want to bring something important to your attention. For years, Austrian players have had no choice but to create fake German accounts and play in VBL Open qualifiers just to participate in esports. This is ridiculous and unfair.
We often reach out to the ESV (E-Sports Verband Österreich) asking why there are so few esports events in Austria. We are tired of waiting – now we are turning to you directly. Since you hold the license for the Austrian Bundesliga, we would like you to organize an Austrian Cup in the coming months. This should allow players to register in-game without needing a German account.
The tournament should feature a ranking system similar to the VBL, and only Austrian teams should be allowed to participate. We suggest having either both an offline and online final or just an online final. The winner should get the chance to participate in the World Championship this year. A modest prize of around €2,000 would also be appreciated.
We strongly encourage you to improve the game experience and finally organize this Austrian Cup. It’s unfair that Germany gets these opportunities while Austrian players are completely left out.
