Ea it’s actually insane how strong the ai defending is in this game currently that is killing the joy of even playing considering the fact it’s making it very difficult to even attack. AI defenders will literally surround u everywhere and mark every player for a passing option. Everytime I have the ball I feel like I’m suffocated. The ai defenders positioning and marking tightly even after sending players on runs is too overpowered. Also there’s an issue in where people clearly know that ai defending is overpowered so they don’t even switch to CBs and just defend with their DMs and attackers. Also it’s also an issue attacking in the box when there is 9 players in the box. When the game first dropped and how ya introduced Manuel defending it was good because it rewarded people for defending properly and made attacking faster and better but now it’s difficult to attack and it just feels like now who ever has the least composure and mess up on defense loses. We want a fast paced attacking game not people defending with cdm all the time and then trying to get a counter off it winning. It’s not fair to those who actually play proper football and actually switch to CBS because now like a player like me who Manuel defends it feels like you really just have to abuse the mechanic and just use DMs to defend which is not skill because it feels like I get punished more using Manuel defending.

Yo bro if u can’t defend r1 dribbling with this new jockey buff then I hate to say it but it’s a skill issue fifa is all about scoring and attacking that’s really the most fun part abt a fifa game and right now it feel likes you can’t attack at all so what if a lot of goals go in? Just outscore ya opponent. Ppl like u is what ruined this game in the first place r1 never needed a patch it wasn’t even that overpowered

Even winning doesn’t feel enjoyable anymore, and for me personally, that’s a problem.

Yo bro games was ending like this because there was a kickoff bug. If u would have noticed b4 all the patch the only thing that needed to be fixed was kickoff glitch when you scored your opponent would get a boost on kickoff because the defensive ai placement on kickoff would be stupid only for kickoffs idk why this was happening but when I played b4 all these patches that was my only issue not r1 and ppl fidget spinning now this basically is a park the bus simulator and ppl waiting for u to make a mistake so they throughball to their wingers and score this is not fun.

lol I’ll take a game like that then rather my opponent just using his CDMs to defend all the time and parking the bus and getting rewarded for it when I Manuel defend everything and even switch to my CBs get punished for playing defense the proper way like idk what u guys are talking abt but the only problem b4 all these patches was kickoff glitch jockey buffed a little was good not bad but you can clearly see that now you don’t have to Manuel defend and that you can rely on ai defending which is not fun because it makes it where you can’t attack and ppl who are really not better than u take the advantage of the counter through ball to fast wingers and score and then u get mad and just end up just losing the game now 3-0

Difference is bro I rather that then park the bus simulator cause I’m a good defender and actually Manuel defend. So what if people r1 and fidget spinning at least they actually controlling the players and mastered their left stick in a way to cook u with ai defending that’s not skill at all you have computer doing all the work for u like come on dawg

The best solution would be to nerf R1 dribbling first, and then you can also tone down the defensive AI.

But if you only nerf the defensive AI, it will ruin the game.

Na I think a better solution on to what I think we both can agree is Aii bet they patch r1 dribbling but make attacking ai smarter with positioning and actually running into actual good space that throws ya opponent off and then patch defensive ai as well cause people don’t even use their CBs

But when you have every ai intercept passes marking every player tightly when u send players on run players don’t manually track the player running the ai defender is and then they only defend with cdms then that is a issue @worn schooner @solid oar

At the moment gameplay is awful and that is the reason why everyone use only CDMs because opponents use fidget spinner and spamming r1 and left stick.. last patch was good because you have to build your scoring positions, now u just run past and score because ai the defenders do nothing they cant even turn and they feel heavy.. You cant even pass anymore, only if you double tapped X or 🔼

Well this game gon eventually die because I play fc a lot since the game came out and for the first time since game came out I genuinely can’t hop on because I get irritated that the game state is ai defending reliant and I get punished for Manuel defending and using my CBs then get countered with one through ball and they score this not fun

Guys the issue isn't entirely ai defence the problem is responsiveness and input delay, and the only fix for it is better servers

The problem is the defensive AI. If it were nerfed the problems with the servers wouldn't be such a pain to deal with.

The biggest Problem is DDA in online Games … they say this is only in offline mode but we all know Its also in online mode

The game should feel rewarding on both sides of the ball. It’s mostly agreed upon already that attacking feels awful.

But even on defense I find myself just second man pressing and chasing down cams with cms. I rarely ever concede more than 3 goals so sure it works, but I much rather be forced to track runs, manual jockey and switch to fbs and cbs to defend. It’s more engaging and fun.

In short - AI defensive in its current state make both attacking and defending boring and unrewarding.
