I think the problem isn’t “listening to the community.”
In fact, EA’s willingness to engage with its player base and listen to feedback is a positive step — it shows respect and openness toward the people who actually play the game.
However, the real issue lies in how that feedback is being filtered, prioritized, and implemented. Not every community request reflects what’s best for the game’s integrity, balance, or overall enjoyment. Some of them come from frustration or personal preference, rather than a genuine need to improve the core experience that FC26 originally offered.
When FC26 first launched, its gameplay felt balanced, responsive, and genuinely fun — arguably the best since FIFA 17. The original version embodied what many of us were hoping for: a modern football simulation that stayed true to its promise.
Unfortunately, with the subsequent updates, a lot of that magic has been diluted. In trying to please too many voices at once, EA has unintentionally compromised the very gameplay elements that made FC26 feel fresh and rewarding in the first place.
Listening to the community should never mean losing the game’s original identity. Constructive feedback is essential, but selective discernment is even more critical. Not every complaint requires a patch, and not every change represents progress.
Right now, FC26 feels less enjoyable, less consistent, and further from the vision that was showcased during its early promotion and release. I truly hope EA takes a more balanced and careful approach moving forward — listen, yes, but also preserve what already worked so well.
This kind of feedback is sincere and honest from one of your loyal players, the original EAFC26 state was BETTER.
