Severe lack of. AGAIN. One2watch and future stars were and are the perfect two promos to start the year off. And the idea of cornerstones is a really good reason to give a player a promo card. Every single club will either have a young prospect coming through, will have signed someone for their immediate first team games or have someone their fans see as the cornerstone of their team.
As a fan of a lower rated team (EFL championship) it is painful to see months go by without any special/promo cards and only having 2/3 evos a week to get a predominantly silver team up to 82/83 ratings. I’ve got a 91 salah that I would be willing to submit to an sbc for a special championship card that fitted my team.
Silver league and gauntlets are great ideas but give us ways to pack cards to create these teams. Bronze and silver provision packs from the start of the game? League specific sbcs, eg. 9 random bronze players for 3 silver players from specific league. Make cards accessible before introducing the current league/premium league sbcs where the prices of lib/sud sky rocket to the extent that the sbc isn’t worth completing. Great for traders and coin sellers but rubbish for casuals and children that just want to play the game using their favourite players.
