This is a step in the right direction. Good update. But EA please fix fidget spinners next.

However the fidget sppining is still way too op and unrealistic. Defending against that is still impossible as defending has been nerfed to the ground.

The next step is finding a way to nerf the fidget spinners so that defenders have a fair and equal opportunity.

The dribbling is still op responsive and the jockey is unable to keep up.
In this current state only streamers and sweats keep abusing the left stick mechanic and nobody else is interested to play.

In higher divs it's all low depth + tracking back w cdm and double man pressing

Now, I would be fine if low block meant LIKE THE REAL LIFE YOU LIKE THAT MUCH to commit to defense and stamina would drain much faster and counters wouldn't be as effective

This isn't the case. Low blocks are the meta and counters are deadly

By killing the agility of players, we'll do nothing but bump into AI walls if they don't nerf AI defending.

But you can still get passed manually controlled defenders with r1 the way it is now. It's fine if it's not the only mechanic you used to beat defenders.

If the AI is reduced then you'll be able to do what you want and your opponent will have to switch.

If the controlled sprint still needs a buff then it can get one. But only after we see how this dribbling is against less assisted defending.

Ok, for all the people whining about spinning now.
This game was advertised in FUT and Pro Clubs as a fast, Dribbling focused title, thats focused on attacking play and diverse ways of scoring. You got what you bought before the patch. Did I fidget spin myself? No, but turning and moving is needed to create space and R1 is vital to punish tackle spams and poor defensive decisions, now both are useless, attacking runs are trash and passes in posession play are unreliable. The people that actually wanted a game that relies on multiple skillets and not only parking the bus and countering got lied to and screwed over. I did get the same wins as last week, but I had no fun playing, since it was counters only and it sucks.

All the people wanting realistic gameplay always knew what they bought, when they saw the trailer and patch notes, still they acted like they got lied too and forced EA to patch things that made the game a defensive simulator again.

EA now lied to everyone and screwed everyone over, who exactly bought FC and plays UT for what it was advertised, a fast, enjoyable, dynamic game, which now got patched into a slow, low skill gap mess.

Anyone who wants a more realistic gameplay imo shouldn't even complain about the speed of attackers. Defense now got touched too much and it's completely unenjoyable.

Imagine going to a store, buying something, which clearly advertised as that, then whining and crying about it, expecting something else. Its ridiculous.
That said, yeah, kick offs and corners were too op, yes bruiser getting slightly buffed was necessary (Now it's straight up bullying, so please nerf it 5-10%), but in the end, the game 2-3 patches ago was exactly as advertised and now EA are lying to the people who actually bought the game exactly for that.

It's the AI defending that was buffed in 1.0.2. Before that you actually had to control all of your players while defending and just one player while the AI dropped and did the rest.

I was fine with r1 before but when I was playing in good gameplay i thought update isn't so bad. It requires a bit more skill in order to attack with pace.

The only reason everything on attack feels slower is because the manual jockey has been sped up and the AI wasn't nerfed along with r1.

Before any further changes are made to dribbling we have to nerf the AI.

The jockey buff is to counter the left stick, the AI was probably improved after early access because of how easily you could run through them with controlled sprint before if your opponent wasn't switching in time.

Now that controlled sprint isn't op there's no reason for the AI to be. It could go back to early access.

@umbral dawn scorelines would of been normal pre patch if kick off and corners was just fixed. Scorelines are only lower now for the casuals because the AI will constantly help them out from really poor choices. Where as before you would get punished for your mistakes. I get it that's frustrating but just be patient and learn how to play.
