I'm testing the patch regarding fouls in the authentic mode and what I noticed is how the cpu is more willing to tackle and tracks skill moves less which is good, however I still think one thing can be furtherly addressed

What I still don't like is how they always stall, they are never aggressive to sink the tackle.

EA if you're reading, make some footballers more prone to resort to aggressive tackles based on their aggression stat, the latter should sink the tackle more often and if necessary, miss or make yellow/red card worthy fouls.

The cpu very often does nothing but retreat in defense instead of sinking the tackle as an aggressive player would do, please FIX THIS

This is probably because the cpu won't do things unless absolutely necessary, like a machine, but you need to give them a more human feeling.

By "planting" you mean committing even if they are going to miss/foul?

I guess that depends on team instruction? Though I agree individual players might need to have their personality stick out more. I remember that on old Football Manager there was a "Freedom to invent" instruction that allowed players to disregard instructions if you trusted them to be good enough. Alas, doing it like this might be a feature, and thus probably relegated to the next game

Ive played around with different game mode types, and it feels like the AI is risk averse (at least on legendary) so they don't tackle because that could lead to a foul.

Players are too grounded to roles sadly now with the FC IQ thingy

Even on the new patch, they just are unwilling to tackle unless its 100% chance of them winning the ball/not committing a foul, regardless what style of tactics the AI has

Yeah, it seems they are more likely to just miss a tackle now that puts them out of position
