I know there’s tonnes of posts about this.

Here’s my solution. We DO NOT WANT more AI assistance in defending.

However, what needs to happen is:

  • increase the hit box of a tackle.
  • when I press tackle… MAKE SURE MY DEFENDER TACKLES!
  • increase the Jockey exit acceleration.
  • very slightly increase the interception hit box (NOT BLOCKS)

People can score from the most obscure angles at the moment, and it’s ridiculous.

Please fix these things and sort kick off goals, and we might actually have a half decent game.

If it goes untouched, I’m done man. That last kick off patch has absolutely killed me and now they’re worse than ever

There is a way to use both manual and ai defending and that's what I do
If you learn player movement better..you would understand how helpful ai pressing is
Ai simply presses and blocks but tackling is manual
And requires timing
The game has too many loop holes and glitches
Just use legacy defending then if you want more manual control
With ai pressing,I can cover 3 players at once

Don’t think he said 2nd man press should go, that’s still a manual input. I think he just wants to clarify that his improvements are for manual defending.

Mate, I know how to defend this year and each year, it's not rocket science no one said anything about 2nd man pressing rn but the direction defending has took for the past couple of years even this year, is just awful, you can't punish people that run around with CMs/CDMs as easy as you should as someone would already be pressing the player you're making the pass over to, AI this year tracks everything including player-locks, problem is mainly that when you manually do something or track a play, your player most likely will lose the ball as manual defending is Godawful this year, tackling is bad and ball shielding is hella OP.

The defending has been nerfed to the ground. Please make defending equally powerful compared to attackers.

Game has just become an unrealistic goal fest for skill and pace abusers as defending has been severely nerfed

Only sweats are playing the game now as they continuously abuse the right stick. No casuals want to play this fidget spinner unless defending is fixed
