Hi everyone,
I honestly find it incredible how unplayable this game has become. Around ten years ago, it was hands down the best football game on the market. But ever since they introduced tactical defending, things started to go downhill—until we reached this year's version, where defending is basically non-existent.
I mean… does this even look like a football sim to you?
This isn’t FC or FIFA as we used to know it. At this point, it would be more accurate to call it FC Street.
Every single match ends with 12 or 13 goals, with a minimum of 5 per team. Goals are always scored the same way. Crosses and corners are practically useless. Trying to change up your playstyle or score in different ways is impossible. It’s been years since we could score from a well-worked team move.
Now, it’s all about exploiting the lack of defensive mechanics and abusing skill moves. Playing as a team means nothing anymore.
And the most absurd part? Even the CPU on Legendary difficulty only plays by using the game’s bugs and meta tactics. If even the AI behaves like this, it just shows that “football” no longer exists in this game.
I've been asking myself for years:
“What kind of football are you guys watching?”
I'll be honest—I know it's not going to happen, but part of me wants to ask for a refund. €80 for this game is way too much for what we're getting.
I'd genuinely love to talk with someone on the dev team and understand the reasoning behind designing a football simulation like this. You promoted this game with promises of major improvements in gameplay… but those promises never became reality.
Going back to the gameplay we had 10 years ago would honestly be better. At least back then, everyone could have fun—not just the pro players.
