I am writing to express my profound disappointment and extreme frustration with the current state of EA Sports FC 26. The gameplay is so unfair, unbalanced, and stress-inducing that it is no longer enjoyable. In fact, it has become detrimental to my well-being, leading me to a final decision: I have sold my console and will not be purchasing any future titles in this franchise.
A video game is fundamentally designed to be an enjoyable form of entertainment. FC 26, however, is designed to induce stress and anxiety, focusing on exploiting broken mechanics for competitive gain rather than promoting a healthy, skill-based, or fun experience. This is a fundamental flaw in the game's design philosophy.
The current gameplay is severely damaged by a handful of overpowered and unbalanced mechanics that are constantly abused at a competitive level. These need urgent rebalancing:
-Overpowered Corners: The success rate and ease of scoring directly from or immediately after a corner are disproportionately high.
-Kick-Off Glitches/Goals: The vulnerability right from the kick-off allows for cheap, repetitive goals, which breaks the immersion and competitive integrity.
-Dribbling Abuse: Certain dribbling motions (e.g., constant left-right spamming/spinning) are overly effective against even high-rated defensive AI and manual defending.
-Cutback Spam: The cutback from the wing to a striker in the box remains an overwhelmingly dominant and difficult-to-defend method of scoring.
The focus on high-stakes, heavily competitive rewards, even for mediocre prizes, encourages an extremely toxic and unfriendly community environment. Players are driven to 'abuse' every broken mechanic to win, making matches feel like a race to exploit glitches rather than a test of football skill. This competitive method is fostering an atmosphere where players actively seek to annoy each other, contributing to the overall stressful experience.
