After patch v1.0.4, the so-called “ballerina dribbling” is still completely out of control. Players can spin on the spot three or four times, twist back and forth, and my defenders just can’t do anything about it. The responsiveness on the ball is still way too high, and it makes every match feel like you’re defending against ice skaters, not footballers.
The supposed “bruiser” tackles still don’t have the reach or power they should. Even when you time a tackle perfectly, the ball either bounces back to the attacker or your player just glances off them. It doesn’t matter if you use a physically strong defender — their tackles don’t connect properly against players abusing quick left-stick dribbling.
Jockey speed is still too sluggish as well. You can’t keep up with players who are spinning in tight circles because the defender’s movement speed and reaction time just aren’t good enough. If dribbling is going to stay this powerful, there has to be an effective countermeasure for defenders — right now there isn’t one.
This completely kills the balance between attacker and defender. It doesn’t feel like football — it feels like whoever can abuse left-stick agility wins. Timing, positioning, and physical stats barely matter.
Please pass this straight to the gameplay balance team. Patch 1.0.4 didn’t go far enough. If dribbling is going to remain this explosive, defensive mechanics need a real buff, stronger tackle range, faster jockey responsiveness, and less recovery delay when defending one-on-one. Otherwise, defending just isn’t competitive or enjoyable.
