- Second man press and guarding the interceptions with active player needs to not be the premier way to defend. Way too effective and broken especially in low block defense. Players alternate between sending an ai to guard ball and clogging passing lanes and when that stamina fades they double tap r1 switch to manual press and then the ai guards the passing lanes. This is way too effective.
Solution: make attackers aware they’re being marked closely and seek out space to play the ball. Also delay the responsiveness of the marking defender to the incoming pass so it’s more likely to be a 50/50 rather than to the defenders feet. - 2 cdm formations being too op.
Potential solution: on defense, center mids are preoccupied with marking the midfield which leaves space in behind. Would love to see cdms also push up to mark the midfielders and leave some space to break down instead of having them drop back just outside the box. Also cdms should not be encouraged to come forward at all unless they are box crashers. This weakening these formations. - Gameplay mechanics are out of whack right now. Lots of glitchy movement from the players, input delay is really bad, passes fall behind attackers. Still having the issue where players choose to finesse with the wrong foot. Goalkeepers are insane.
My thoughts are such: not much changed in the patch but as cards are getting better and teams more meta some of the glaring faults of this game are coming to light. Maybe the solution is to lower all ai abilities and iq of all players and make the difference between a caicedo and a guimares at cdm more equal/user based. Basically nerf everything so that these cards can’t play a perfect game every time.
This should be an equal opportunity game and some people spend way too much money it that others don’t have. I strongly believe this should not necessarily give them an advantage
