• Lack of Defensive Awareness: AI defenders often fail to track runners or react quickly to through balls, leading to easy goals.
• Poor Positioning: Defensive lines lose shape too easily, leaving large open spaces for attackers to exploit.
• Slow Reaction Times: Defenders hesitate to close down opponents or intercept passes, making manual defending feel like the only option.
• Lack of Meaningful Tackles: AI defenders rarely make decisive tackles — they either back off or perform weak, ineffective challenges.
• Only Using Standing Tackles: The AI almost never uses slide tackles or aggressive challenges, even when it would make sense to do so. This makes the defending look robotic and unrealistic.
• No Fouls or Physical Presence: The AI doesn’t commit fouls at all, removing a key part of real football’s defensive balance and intensity. Matches feel too clean and predictable.
• Poor Team Coordination: In modes like Pro Clubs or Career Mode, the AI doesn’t provide proper defensive cover, leaving players to do all the work
