I have been playing as a goalkeeper on FIFA/FC since fifa 20 and no experience has been worse than this editions.
The new grab ball and punch options are a great idea in theory but are completely broken. At times your player does a dive animation when the ball is falling straight to his chest leading to him missing the ball completely and the opponent scoring and the punch one 90% of the time ends up just going straight up not out leading to an attacker getting it.
1v1s are now completely unsavable even with sweeper keeper and a max goalkeeper build built just for the purpose of closing down 1v1s there is still nothing you can do unless the striker put it at you or you get lucky there’s nothing skill related about it.
Reaction saves are a great idea something we’ve been preaching for but are unusable and pointless trying.
Diving is incredibly unreliable as well one moment you make an amazing top corner save next moment that same save is worthless at your player dives backwards completely missing the ball. Nothing has changed between the two save but the Computer has completely failed and given you a completely wrong animation.
This is an utter disaster and disgrace to the goalkeeper community who have all shared and voiced their opinions on that matter some calling this “the worst fifa for goalkeepers.
I understand these changes were ment to make this edition great and revolutionary but it feel like all it’s done is set us back.
