@runic sleet They never capped the level from the start. Their core players will continue playing all year. It’s a strategy to get players to buy coins and unlock consumables. Clubs has a huge following and EA doesn’t make money off it. They are tuning it so players get annoyed and spend money.

They surely plan to monetize trough it and they're already doing it but atleast it got recognized...
It's EA what can you expect, this specific move is just to slow down things so that people don't immediately grind to the max leaving others behind
