#Using offside trap to press opposition attackers instead of doing it manually.

Watching a couple streamers, I've noticed that they tend to use the offside trap immediately after losing the ball in order to close down and reduce space and lock up their opponents attackers.

Shouldn't this instruction have your defensive line move up past attackers, pulling them all out of position for a moment? This should be a risky move to preform on defense and when done at an incorrect moment they should be easier to sprint past, not become a moving AI wall that collides into attackers.

Defenders are setting screens and keeping my attackers offside and before my attacker try to move away and come back onside it’s a Higgins fest

The defensive lines AI should ignore all duties until the cool down has finished. Just blindly wander up and away from their space and the attackers.

It's pretty much a less aggressive team press the way it currently works

When I first saw this on a stream, they were ushing it while still in the opposition half. This should be punished.

The defensive line should leave just enough open space for attackers to be kept onside and unmarked until the offside trap cool down has finished.

I watched a YouTuber play against one of the pros over the weekend.

They both used offside trap in order to move all 4 defenders up into intercepting positions or get caught up with attackers attempting to get open.

This shouldn't be the intended use of the mechanic. There may as well be two team press options.
