The defending in this game is actually laughable, it is atrocious that a player dribbling the ball has a faster turning speed than my defender with jockey +. I just played 7 champs games and not a single one ended with me scoring less than 5 and my opponent less than 3. In past FIFAs and EAFCs I would consistently shut out teams for a full 90 minutes, one of my games today was 3-3 by the 12th minute with both players playing with 2 CDMS. Nice. The offensive side is fun at times, but damnit is it frustrating that manual defending isn't rewarding. If anything it's** punishing to try to manually defend.** So now you're forced to use AI defending with park the bus tactics if you want to compete, but sometimes your players completely forget to pick up runs and their positional awareness is akin to a 4th grader so you're stuck relying AI defending that doesn't work a good portion of the time.

Yeah because I'm forced to, I actually want to manually defend but the game punishes you for it no matter what.
