I think ratings should be reworked to be position-specific, with metrics that highlight the actual responsibilities of each role. For example:
Attackers - shooting chances created, goal involvement, key passes, successful dribbles, off-ball movement.
Midfielders - chances created, passing accuracy, progressive passes, tackles/interceptions won, ball recoveries.
Defenders - tackles won, interceptions, aerial duels won, blocks made, clearances, marking effectiveness.
Goalkeepers → saves, punches, claims, distribution accuracy, positioning.
Right now it’s very “one-size-fits-all,” where scoring/assisting dominates ratings, and that doesn’t respect midfielders or defenders who can dominate a game without getting a G/A.
This way, every position can be judged fairly on their true impact, making ratings more realistic and rewarding smarter all-round play rather than just chasing goals.
