Reading this forum and seeing how long people have been reporting the same issue, I think starting today we should all comment under EVERY EA Twitter/X post. In each comment we should: describe our problem, share our PC specs, mention that more demanding games run without any issues, and clearly state since when the bug has been happening. Most importantly, always add the hashtag #fixPC.

It’s clear that EA doesn’t care — we paid, they got their money, and now they don’t even reply to our messages. As some people said here, they even delete forum topics instead of addressing them.

If we don’t get any official response or a patch fixing this issue, then our next step should be commenting under YouTubers’ videos to spread the word further

I think I'm alone here but in my PC im playing 2K resolution on ultra at 120+ fps. Lowest I've seen drop was 70 fps. And once there was a big stutter but that's really it. I haven't played a lot of matches tough, still doing team management and transfers.

Also no problem with controller so far, even after having the game opened for hours.

What Im finding strange is the graphics quality. Feels like they're not really in ultra, sometimes there's no shadows or they're really simple shadows. Almost like its worse compared to fc25

Short review: Nothing has been changed performance wise. Still stuttering, still FPS Drops, graphic settings still reset. GPU usage is still 99%, even in Menus.

The gpu usage stuff I capped my frames at 150 using riva tuner when I have a 240 hz monitor and 4070 super and I still get about 60-70 percent gpu usage

I actually fixed all the input delay/lag by just capping my FPS to 60 and turning off V-Sync. After that it’s completely smooth. No delay at all, whether wired or even wireless over Bluetooth. Honestly, even though I usually game on 180Hz, FC26 specifically feels fine at 60fps and it's DEFINETELY better than whatever the hell kinda gameplay I had before this fix (the input delay was sooo bad)

Regarding the FPS drop in the second half of the match – this method solved the problem for me. Even though I’m playing on low graphics settings, I can now play at 60 FPS (I’m not sure if it works on higher settings, and I don’t want to risk it as long as it’s working). Here’s what I do: when I go into Division Rivals and the FPS starts to drop in the second half, if I’m losing, I just quit the match and restart the game. Usually, after 3–4 restarts, the FPS drop disappears completely and I can play normally without any stuttering

Made a couple tests and I think I found the issue

Used Medium settings, 1920x1080 resolution with 100% render scale. Full Screen btw, fps set to unlimited.

No issues in Squad Battles or Rivals so far

For everyone that has a graphics card with 8 GB of video memory or more, I know we are used to playing on High - Ultra settings. But this year, the game is badly optimized (more than usual). Give it a try and let me know if it worked for you.

After 20 days of investigating and testing all kinds of things to fix the crashes, I can finally say that I found a solution — thanks to a comment on the EA forum.

I’m leaving both solutions here, for Intel and AMD users:

AMD:
Download the program Ryzen Master and set your CPU to power-saving mode — that’s it. If you’re a more advanced user, you can perform undervolting directly from the BIOS. (And of course, make sure Secure Boot is enabled in your BIOS so that EA’s Anti-Cheat works properly.)

INTEL:
Maybe I have found a solution for some of you. I had the same issues as you. Sometimes my game crashed when starting it, sometimes randomly in the menu or in a match. I tried everything I could to fix it. But during the last three weeks, nothing helped. I couldn't even launch F1 anymore. Yesterday, when Battlefield 6 came out, I faced a similar issue. I simply could not start the game without crashing. I searched even more to find a solution.

That's when I came across the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility software. I downloaded Version 7 to be able to change my CPU core ratios. I have an Intel Core i7-13700K. The Performance Core Ratio was set to 53x. I changed it to 50x. With this setting changed, I was able to start Battlefield 6 without problems. When I tried F1 and EAFC 26, everything worked as it should.

Today, when I started my PC, I couldn't start EAFC 26 again. I found out that Intel’s software doesn’t save the ratios. So I downclocked my Performance Cores again and it worked. You can change it in the Intel software settings so that you don’t have to redo it every time you start your PC. Otherwise, you can change it directly in the BIOS — that could be an alternative.

I’ve spent 20 long days searching for this solution, and I know how frustrating it can be. That’s why I rushed to post it as soon as possible. I really hope it helps you!

It seems that the crashes in EA Sports FC 26 come from poor optimization of the Frostbite engine, which makes some CPUs, like my Ryzen 9 5900X, unstable when voltage or frequency changes suddenly. I enabled Eco-Mode in AMD Ryzen Master, and the crashes completely disappeared. This mode slightly limits power (PPT/TDC/EDC), lowers boost clocks a bit, and stabilizes voltage, preventing the electrical spikes that the game doesn’t handle well. Performance loss is minimal (~2–4%), but stability improves drastically.

Technical note:
The Frostbite engine and DirectX 12 are very sensitive to brief voltage or frequency spikes. On Ryzen CPUs, Precision Boost Overdrive can push the voltage too high during sudden load changes (like entering menus, cutscenes, or shader compilation). Eco-Mode keeps power and voltage within a stable range, smoothing out those transitions — which is why it completely eliminates the crashes.

The only thing I have been using is spamming Moments (in ultimate team) every time I open up the game. That gets rid of the crazy 5-10 frame bs making it somewhat playable but it's still quite sluggish and has input delay. But it definately helps a little bit.

Definitely still unable to compete with console players or someone who's game runs smooth but it is something.

If you have an NVIDIA GPU with atleast 8gb of VRAM you should be able to run this game smoothly (because this is what the EA development team tests on), if you still have issues then its most likely an issue on your end and not the FC codebase. I will say tho that a company as big as EA should have dev tests for all major GPUs and not only NVIDIA.

Confirmed Fix / Cause for Full PC Freezes with EA FC 26 and Other EA Games

After weeks of testing, I can confirm that the real cause of the random PC freezes and crashes is EA App Background Services — not your hardware, drivers, or overclock.

Even if you’re playing another game or running GPU/CPU tools, if EA App Background Services or EA AntiCheat Service are still running in the background, they can crash your entire system.
It also happens when using NVIDIA’s automatic overclocking, Ryzen Master, HWiNFO, or other GPU/CPU monitoring tools.

Why:
EA’s background service runs at a low system level and conflicts with hardware monitoring or overclock tools, causing a full system hang (Kernel-Power 41 error, 0xFFFFFFFF exit code).

lads what ive done which has worked everytime and the game works flawlessly and how it should be, before you launch press window+r. type %temp% into the run app delete all your temp files and for me there was a file there called Ea sports fc 26 make sure you delete that I have been running the game at 120 fps and 120 hz so far no problems at all Hope this works for you as it did for me just played all my champs games and was very smooth and responsive

and every time it passes, EA updates Ultimate Team more and more.

every1 be complaining about these issues on pc, clearly havent tried anything, it was happening to me and i did the fix that i would hope most of you have tried but clearly not, cap your fps, i have mine capped at 90, so it doesnt throttle my gpu for no reason, the reason why the lag is there is because this game aint optimized properly, you need to limit your fps so the game doesnt just use all your recourses for the menu screen.

Hello, i was playing weekend league on pc for 2 matches it was smooth and suddenly in all the next matches the game was lagging the lines were glitching and it was terrible. I tried everything through settings and nvidia settings and still nothing. Any ideas? This happens in offline game modes as well

This worked for me I’ve got 4070 super and ryzen 7700X

ngl fc26 pc in general has been trash since beta, i’m waiting until it’s fully fixed like fc25 to play ts

the issue is that after half time it changes the graphic settings to High for some reason

even without a restart

i installed an optimisation mod that makes the graphics bad, and after half time my game looked way better and that's when the bug began
