The fluid movements of attackers feels amazing but is there really a reason why attackers, especially the little ones, need to be able to instantly do a 180 and start make rapid changes of direction with out some kind of stamina or heavy touch applied after a couple times?

NeilGuides video tutorial on dribbling is the perfect example.

He displays the fluid movements of shorter attackers compared to taller ones and even says the key to dribbling is constantly making micro movements in order to bait and force movements from defenders with only the left stick.

Applying some kind of punishment to 180° turns and constant directional changes will force players to actually learn how to utilize the already existing list of skill moves and increase the skill gap while simultaneously making defending less of a chore.

There's no reason why running in circles should be an effective strategy.

Have it fixed before FUT Champs.

The problem isn't how you're able to move the attackers with the ball, it's how extremely poor you move the defenders. It's very delayed and they're slow. Also they need to be better at getting the ball with tackles and intercepting the ball when you control the player.

I agree that some defensive animations seem off or not there at all but 180 turns and constant movements makes the defending feel worse than it is.

Patience is barley rewarded on defense unless you're parking the bus.

Forcing attackers to take time to think about their actions before they make them matches up with defenders having to do the same.

IMO, Attackers should get increasing penalties to ball control (maybe passing and shooting too) for constantly changing directions.
Couple changes in direction, fine, but doing it endlessly should be gradually punished

Exactly! Thank you!

Agreed, dribbling in a circle needs a slight nerf and MANUAL defender movement needs a slight buff. Also, R1 dribbling needs a duel buff/nerf in that players should take slightly more touches (so you can change direction more smoothly/consistently) while also dribbling forward slightly slower (so you can't just slide a defender out of the way with LS spins and then immediately full-sprint via R1 without the negatives of actually sprinting like you get with R2).

I don't know whose idea it was to make R1 sprints faster than regular sprinting and I don't know why it's been that way for so long.

Left stick dribbling should be made to feel much more stiff while attempting to change direction and 180 turn.

Close controlled dribbling with R1 should be just that. Allowing for players to smoothly dribble the ball as they do now with the left stick but greatly effected by stamina and not as fast as regular sprints.

I think chaining dribbles like this is OP and boring

little fiber
#

Definitely. Hopefully they're looked at soon.

I won’t say anything new, but I completely agree with you. I love the new game play and think defending should be hard. However, there’s a difference between hard and impossible. Pressing these players doesn’t work because they specifically use players that can keep a close dribble. No defenders have the agility or other stats to handle it. Definitely think a few turns are reasonable but after there needs to be stamina or touch penalties.

Not much else to add my friend. Im just happy this keeps getting bumped up.

There's another post about the defenders not quite working as they should. They're on pretty much the same page as us.

It should be something only technical+ players are able to do perfectly while still having some kind negative effect after a certain amount time or loss of possession after too many changes in direction.

Players with the regular playstyle are able to do it but lose stamina and possession a bit quicker.

Those that don't have technical can only shift direction once with a massive hit to stamina and if attempted a second time consecutively they lose balance and possession of the ball.

Exactly it's going too far, while it can be defendable but rats will continue to abuse it until the game/dda breaks for their benefit, it must be stopped immediately and rats who are unhappy abbout it can go and die

There should be limits to it

I'd like to see a poll put up asking everyone how they feel on this topic.

I know they've already asked about attacking and defending in general but the questions need to be a bit more specific.

Fidget Spinner FC 26.

In real life a defender would just come and shove these diva spinners off the ball but they nerfed defenders so hard in fc 26 they have become useless

subtle hemlock
#

If you can't bully them they will keep spinning

#

Good thing that defenders aren't completely useless but EA should make them stronger than right now.

#

I would have refunded my EA Play Pro otherwise

deft rampart
#

The quick spinning in place should only work with Press Proven playstyle, not Technical. Technical should only boost R1 dribbling IMO, it doesn’t need to be even more OP.

subtle hemlock
#

They meant that players with tech\tech+ should be the only ones who can spin compared to those who don't have them, but you're also right

#

And tech+ shouldn't be OP or we will get another FC 24

deft rampart
#

Tech should be more skill based. Reduce the current speed and increase the amount of touches, so it’s less of a sprint mechanic and more about dribbling quickly while being able to weave through defenders with precise changes of direction.

I dont care how it happens, as long as my opponents can't just run away from me the whole time without trying to advance the play.

Tackling needs to be buffed as well as jockey speed
They need to nerf AI and boost jockey and tackles it is the only way to save the game

#

There is a reason why games finish with high scores

#

The standing tackles radius is absolutely absent u can't tackle unless the attacker runs into you which is weird and unrealistic

please nerf the fidget spinning , it’s ridiculous

trim geyser

Nerfing left stick dribbling would just make the game fc25, they need to nerf defensive ai and buff manual defending so people would stop fidget spinning because it would be a lot easier to defend

little fiber
#

They need to buff stand tackles and fix physical challenges while also making it more difficult for players to imitate Neymar from the "risk everything" ad with just the left stick alone.

Defence is fine tbh just need to tone down left stick and focus more on skill moves to beat opp

Jockey is slow an sh*

tackling needs a buff too

Tf u mean by defending is alright

AI does everything for u in def
