EA dropped a ton of gameplay notes saying they fixed inconsistent gameplay, but somehow it’s even worse. One game your players move like prime Messi, the next they’re running through mud. The gameplay is just dead repetitive — every match feels the same. Either you’re stuck against some guy cycling the ball until you fall asleep or a 4-2-1-3 rat who needs one through ball and he’s clean through. Warra amazing experience, EA.
Plus defending is pure RNG. Sometimes your AI blocks everything, other times they move like cones and watch the ball fly past. Passing feels like a lottery ticket, finishing is broken one game and dead the next, and skill moves don’t even come out unless the servers are in a good mood.
And the through balls are a joke. I’m spamming X and my defender decides to do some random animation, fall over, miss the ball, or just get bodied like he’s made of paper. Warra brilliant game
To top it OFF the game rewards the most boring, defensive playstyles imaginable. Sit back, spam possession and theres nothing you can do about it cuz press doesnt work properly try to actually play football and you’re handicapping yourself cuz your players cant make any runs .
