There is a bug with shoulder tackles/seal outs in that they literally don't happen. Not sometimes, they never happen.
When using Advanced Defending pressing X on Playstation even in the absolutely perfect situation for a seal out or shoulder tackle does nothing and when using Tactical Defending pressing circle never does a shoulder tackle or seal out either even in the perfect positions for it, your player either does a normal stand tackle or just nothing. You only get the ball sometimes by walking into it, never by seal outs or shoulder tackles.
There has to be a bug somewhere preventing them from happening.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue. I haven’t been able to activate the Bruiser+ playstyle, even after trying multiple players across different game modes. It seems there may be a problem with Advanced Defending or with shoulder tackles in general.

I am pretty sure it is a problem with shoulder tackles in general as I have done testing with Tactical Defending where they never happen as well.

Same it seems to be a bug and that would fix many of the defending issues against spinning attackers

The pros who i have been talking to said that it didnt get patched/fixed, but i will try it out with someone and i will let you know

I have just tested a bit with Advanced and there is a animation happening now, maybe it doesn't get triggered correctly in all situations? Not sure

I timed it perfectly side to side and it didn't trigger the bruiser plus advanced defending is glitched 100%

idk about the animation it's exactly how it was before the patch maybe the animation was there before the patch both ways it's not working at all and the bruiser plus never activates even in perfect conditions and timing for a seal out
