Me and many of my friends have been experiencing the same issue when trying to play co-op SB. One of us invites the other to join their lobby but once they enter, their status remain as “In the menu” and the host is unable to move on from the lobby screen and start a match.

Hi there - I had the same issue. Someone helped me with the temp solution. When you and your mate are in the co-op FUT lobby, the non-leader should click on the name of the leader and then click on report player and click on cancel (as in, don't report) and then you'll see the play options enabled.
Totally worked for me!! Hope it works for you too!
