Gameplay

Made the following changes:

  • Reduced accuracy of First Time Lobbed Through Passes including when performed at extreme angles.
    • This change is most noticeable for players with high passing Attributes.
  • Greatly reduced potential accuracy of Trivelas.
  • Greatly increased width of the defensive line for 5 defender formations.
  • Reduced potential accuracy of Driven Passes.
  • Increased the frequency of attacking runs for AI players in the following roles: Shadow Striker, Inside Forward Attack, Inside Forward Roaming, WIie Playmaker Attack, and Wingbacks in scenarios with open space ahead of them.
  • Improved AI player decision making when considering diagonal runs into open space, and when considering runs into nearby open space.
  • Improved accuracy of shots taken in situations where the player is not being pressured and generally has a clear line of sight on goal, including 1 on 1 situations and open goals.
  • Improved AI Center Back decision making when attempting to provide a safe option for a pass.
  • Improved AI player recognition of offside situations.
  • The CPU AI will look to further prioritize passing during build up play instead of dribbling.
  • Reduced the speed of some slide tackling animations.

Addressed the following issues:

  • During some long distance shots and corners, goalkeepers faced away from the ball unintentionally.
  • In some cases, defenders could have turned and faced away from the ball instead of trying to intercept a pass.
  • Right Wing Inside Forward AI players did not always position themselves as intended.
  • Players could have run up directly to the set piece taker in some scenarios, ignoring the minimum distance they must keep.
  • In some scenarios goalkeepers were attempting to punch or deflect the ball instead of catching it.
  • Some passes could have resulted in the ball traveling faster than intended.
  • Some passes could have been more accurate than intended.
  • Goalkeepers could have sometimes unintentionally dived the wrong way when attempting to make a save.
  • In rare cases, goalkeepers could have gotten stuck around their goal posts when attempting to make a save.
  • During Rush penalties, the goalkeeper could have sometimes moved off the line and gotten stuck.
  • During Rush corners, players could have incorrectly positioned and continuously readjusted themselves until the corner was taken.
  • In certain scenarios, the opposing goalkeeper could have been controlled during set pieces by all players in a match.

Ultimate Team

Addressed the following issues:

  • Attribute upgrades were not showing in the Player Bio when using an upgraded Evolution Item in another Evolution.
  • A stability issue could have occurred when claiming Season Pass, Objective, and Milestone Rewards.
  • Loan Player Items in Seasonal Objectives were showing as having 0 contracts, this was a visual issue only.
  • If a player forfeited a Rush match, they were not able to party up with their original group again with a new invite.

Clubs

Addressed the following issues:

  • In a rare scenario, an incorrect match result was shown when the opposing team left the match.
  • Drop In matches didn’t proceed to penalties if Golden Goal Extra Time ended in a draw.
  • CAM Avatars could have been placed in incorrect positions when selecting the Any option in some cases.
  • The Captain was not always able to interact with Quick Tactics.

Career Mode

Made the following changes:

  • The Simulation gameplay preset is now the default for new Career Mode saves.
  • Added multiple settings when creating a new Career Mode save, including the ability to disable Club Growth Board Objectives.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Improved Growth Plan logic for secondary positions in Manager Career.
  • Youth Academy goalkeepers had lower Diving Attributes than intended.
  • Addressed an instance of conversations interrupting Calendar time advancement.

Gameplay

Made the following changes:

  • Updated AI attacking player logic when determining if a forward run should be made following a pass.
  • AI Defensive Midfielders in the Holding Role can now position themselves further up the pitch.
  • Updated defender logic when determining which foot to use when making a slide tackle.
  • During Rush penalty shootouts, inactive players will stand at the halfway line in shootout order.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Player substitutions did not always occur at the earliest possible opportunity.
  • Addressed instances of the defensive line pushing up the pitch too quickly in scenarios where the attacking team passes back to midfield from the final third.
  • The Heel To Ball Roll Skill Move was not always performed when requested.
  • Sometimes, ground crosses could have sent the ball too far ahead of the intended receiver.
  • After performing a Skill Move, dribbling could have become less responsive in certain situations.
  • Following a pass that became a loose ball, an incorrect auto switch to the initially intended pass receiver could have occurred.
  • Addressed instances of Directed runs not functioning or triggering as intended.
  • Improved goalkeeper logic when considering in which area of the pitch to push the ball to when making a deflection save.

Ultimate Team

Addressed the following issues:

  • The Evolutions arrow indicator UI elements could have displayed incorrectly.
  • After selling an Item from the Club on the Transfer Market, a duplicate version of the Item could have incorrectly had the Send To SBC Storage option instead of Send To Club.
  • Addressed some stability issues that could have occurred while navigating Evolutions.
  • Player Item portraits could have sometimes appeared misaligned with the rest of the Player Item.
  • Sometimes, Objectives tabs did not display correctly.
  • Increased Chemistry Style UI indicator size on Squad screen.
  • SBC Storage search filters could have reset after adding a Player Item.

Clubs

Addressed the following issues:

  • The priorities set for AI teammates could have reset when exiting Clubs.
  • Incorrect match results could have been shown on the post match screen.
  • Changing Attribute Presets after a match could have resulted in incorrect Skill Point allocation.
  • Some Match Lobby UI elements were functioning incorrectly.
  • The Avatar portrait was not always matching the Avatar’s customization.

Career Mode

Addressed the following issues:

  • A stability issue could have occurred if some save file names were the same.
  • EA connect could have appeared during matches.
  • In Manager Career, addressed some instances of irrelevant and incorrect questions being asked by interviewers.
  • Addressed instances where some objectives progress was not counting towards completion in Player Career.

<@&1166435594432417933> Take control of the season with new Live Start Points coming soon to Player and Manager Career.

What Are Live Start Points?
Live Start Points are a new way of experiencing Manager & Player Career, by starting your journey at access points based on real-world events across European league football throughout the 2024/2025 season.

Multiple Live Start Points will be available when the feature releases, reflecting the real-life progress of these leagues and corresponding to previously played gameweeks. We’ll continue to release Live Start Points throughout the 2024/2025 season.

As Live Start Points are released, be on the lookout for Snapshots in the FC 25 Main Menu, showcasing highlights of the featured European leagues’ calendar, whether it’s a showstopper fixture, a derby, a title fight, or a relegation battle. Accessing Snapshots will direct you to the Live Start Points menus by simply clicking “Take me there”.

Otherwise, Live Start Points can be accessed when starting a new Career save, as long as you’re online. They’ll reflect the latest results and standings, enabling you to shape how the rest of the season unfolds.

Manager Career
Once you’ve selected “Live Start Points”, you’ll be able to select your club from any of the leagues listed above. At the top of your screen you'll see several dates to choose from, enabling you to pick a preferred game week as your Live Start Point. The standings, results, and upcoming fixtures will reflect that point in time, including your club's and rivals' cup progress.

It’s then up to you to create your own avatar or choose playing as a real manager, similar to the usual Manager Career experience.

We’ve also introduced a squad injury and suspension editor and expanded our injury system to cover more such events in Career Mode. You have the option of viewing, removing, or editing any injuries and suspensions your squad has at that particular moment in time, meaning you can rewrite real narratives by making your players unavailable due to injury or suspension, all before you start your career.

For example, who knows how Liverpool’s start to the season would have gone should some of their key players be unavailable? With injury and suspension editing, we want to give you more control over the types of stories that can be created in Career Mode.

Once you’re all set up, you can advance to start your career while we load the real-life results and data. You’ll see real-world data coming in on your Career loading screen, as shown below, in the lower part of the screen. At this point you’ll be prompted to create your new Live Start Points save file, and that’s it for setting up your Career Mode journey. You’re now ready to experience a football story unique to you.

Player Career
Pick the team you want to play for, and choose the point in time you want to get involved. Game weeks are identical across both Manager and Player Careers, as are the results and standings you can start from.

You’ll have access to all of the usual Player Career options, from Created Player to Real Players and Icons. Once you’ve decided who you want to play as, start your career while we load up the data and set up the world. Then you’ll be prompted to create your save file and can jump into the action.

  • Central and Defensive Midfielders could have dropped too deep when the attacking team entered the defensive team’s side of the pitch.
  • Sometimes, a ground pass could have incorrectly sent the ball behind the intended receiver.
  • Tackling inputs did not always register in locked-to-player modes.
  • In rare instances, goalkeepers could have jumped significantly higher than intended.
  • Improved goalkeeper decision making when attempting to make saves as the ball crosses the goal line.
  • Improved goalkeeper positioning when attempting to save short distance shots.
  • Goalkeepers could have sometimes not attempted to make a save against powerful long distance shots.
  • Headers were sometimes significantly less accurate than intended.

  • In rare scenarios, an incorrect injury animation could have occurred in online matches.
  • Improved goalkeeper logic in Rush matches when attempting to clear the ball.

ICYMI, the **First Frost Update **is here with a number of community feedback driven changes coming to EA SPORTS FC 25 🥶

Here's an overview of changes discussed in the latest update:

🕚 We've decreased the match length for Rush in Football Ultimate Team from 7 minutes to 5 minutes.

🎮 We've improved the system used to detect idle players in Rush, increasing the likelihood of inactive players being kicked from the match.

⚽ Here's a quick overview of gameplay changes included in the First Frost update:

  • Increased the speed/consistency of skill moves
  • Improved defensive logic for tracking runs during Kick Offs
  • Improved attacking AI's ability to return to an onside position when offside

Based on your feedback and as part of Winter Wildcards celebrations, we’re excited to announce changes to Champions, Rivals and Squad Battles coming in Season 4 starting December 26, 2024 8 AM UTC.

Champions Qualifiers

Starting in Season 4, we’re reducing the Champions Finals requirement to 2 wins in 5 games. This means you’ll now need a 40% win rate in Champs Qualifiers to secure a spot in the Champs Finals.

Champions Finals

We’re also making changes to the rewards in Champions Finals based on your feedback about wanting to earn players from the current campaign. During the first 3 weeks of Season 4, you’ll be able to earn players from the Active Campaign team through Packs, including Winter Wildcards, Winter Wildcard Heroes, and NumeroFUT players. In the final 2 weeks, you can earn Min. OVR Campaign Mix Packs & Picks featuring Winter Wildcards, Winter Wildcard Heroes, Winter Wildcard ICONs, and NumeroFUT players.

To accommodate these changes, starting with the first Season 4 Champions Finals on December 27, the event will now begin on Friday at 7 PM UTC and run for 24 extra hours, ending on Tuesday at 8 AM UTC.

Division Rivals & Squad Battles

We heard from fans during Mode Mastery about how challenging it was for players of all skill levels to earn Mastery player tokens and progress towards rewards. This season, we’re also introducing the Season 4 Weekly Play and Season 4 Weekly Play Completionist Objective groups releasing on Friday December 27. These will allow you to progress towards the same Campaign Packs available in Champs Finals every week by scoring goals in separate games within Rivals or Champs, as well as Squad Battles or Rush. If you complete this objective in 4 out of 5 weeks of the season, you’ll earn an 89+ x 5 Campaign Mix Pack containing Winter Wildcards, Winter Wildcards Icons, Winter Wildcards Heroes and NumeroFUT players.

Title Update #7 will soon be available for EA SPORTS FC 25.

Building on last month’s updates, we continue to focus on changes based on community feedback. Check out the details below 👇

  • We've seen a lot of matches where first-time lofted through passes were being used in an unnatural way, most notably on kickoffs or from bad angles out of the back. We’ve reduced the accuracy of first-time lofted through passes to account for those situations.

  • We addressed an issue where the positioning system could sometimes move players too close to the dribbler when cutting off passing lanes, leading to autotackles. The same issue could also pull midfielders out of position, crowding the ball carrier and reducing passing options.

  • We found the goalkeeper was triggering a “give up” animation (something you see when they have no chance of getting to the ball) too frequently when running back towards goal on chip shots. We’ve increased the frequency of desperation save attempts in these situations.

Fantasy FC is back with a brand new Live Friendly experience: Fantasy FC League! Check out this short FAQ giving you a glimpse at what's to come.

What is Fantasy FC League?
Fantasy FC League is a limited entry Friendly mode celebrating the spirit of competition in Ultimate Team. Players are limited to maximum of 36 entries. 12 entries will be granted to players on the following dates:

  • February 23rd
  • February 27th
  • March 3rd

What are the entry requirements?
The Fantasy FC League will have unique entry requirements, offering a more balanced playing field and a more competitive experience. Here is an overview of the requirements:

  • Number of 91 OVR+ Players allowed: 0
  • Number of 89 OVR+ Players allowed: 1
  • Number of 87 OVR+ Players allowed: 3
  • Maximum Team OVR Cap: 84
  • No more than 3 players from the same league
  • No Bronze players in Starting 11 or Bench

How do rewards work?
Rewards will be granted for every two wins within the tournament, with the maximum reward achieved at 30 wins.

Are there any exclusive rewards?
Three exclusive Player Rewards will be available via the Fantasy FC League:

  • Fantasy FC Ismaël Bennacer for 10 wins
  • Road to the Final Martin Odegaard for 20 wins
  • Fantasy FC Hero Maicon for 30 wins.

Note that The Fantasy FC League is the only place these player items will be available.

Hey <@&1166435675705454592> , sharing a note regarding Shadow Patch Speculation:

Over the past few weeks we’ve seen conversation that gameplay changes made through the Gameplay Refresh Update have been reverted, changed, “shadow patched”, etc.

We wanted to take the opportunity to clarify that this is not true. We have not published any hidden changes to the game following the Gameplay Refresh Update.

We did address a couple of minor issues related to gameplay through Title Update #9, which were communicated through their respective Pitch Notes. Specifically:

  • We addressed a stability issue during throw-ins
  • We published an update to our Simulation Slider mode presets to tune offline play to be more in line with tuning changes made across previous updates

Outside of those changes--there have been no title updates, Live Tuning (server-side) updates, or changes to gameplay of any kind. This is specifically due to the generally positive response to the Gameplay Refresh Update.

That said, we are always monitoring community feedback and reviewing internal metrics to identify emerging issues as quickly as we can.

Introducing Training Camp Evolutions, a new way to passively upgrade your Ultimate Team through the Web and Mobile Companion apps.

Here's an quick overview of what to expect:

  • Training Camp Evolutions do not count towards your active Evolution limit

Here’s a breakdown of what’s new:

⚽ Gameplay Tuning - Updates from your feedback

  • Failed tackles can now take longer to transition out of, with hard tackles being the most impacted.
    • The intent of this change is to reduce situations where failed tackles instantaneously lead to another tackle attempt.

🏟️ Football Ultimate Team

  • In some specific cases, claiming Premium Pass rewards did not function as intended.

👔 Career Mode

  • Updated list of available ICONs in Player Career.
    • This change will be activated through a Server Release shortly after the Title Update.

We’re currently working on improving goalkeepers reactions to low driven shots, and we’re looking to implement this update before Early Access kicks off on September 19.

Here’s how a low driven shot could have looked during Closed Beta and how that shot can look like in the future. Note that the goalkeeper is much more reactive to it.

As a reminder, this is a work-in-progress and the visuals here and in the rest of this article are not necessarily 100% representative of what the final update will look like.

Your Closed Beta feedback told us that there were some cases where AI defenders felt unnaturally fast, catching attackers too easily in some cases.

What we’ve found is that the cause of this isn’t actually the speed of AI defenders.

Instead, some ball trapping animations were slowing down the ball carrier more than intended. This means that an attacker can take too long to receive a ball and get moving, making it feel like the defenders are way too quick for them.

What’s Next

We’re planning to **address these animations before Early Access **and below is an example of what that can look like.

Here’s an example of the issue you told us about and how that scenario can play out after the ball trapping animations have been addressed.

Note that the defender’s speed hasn’t been changed at all, but the attacker has been enabled to move more quickly, giving them a chance against the rushing defender.

  • Tuned Low Driven Shots based on your feedback in the Closed Beta to be less accurate when shooting with an extreme amount of power.

  • Increased frequency of wingers making attacking runs into the box.

  • Improved kick off defensive positioning:
    • The defending team will now position themselves more compactly for a short period of time after a kick off.
    • Updated positions of defending players prior to kick off for all formations.

  • Reduced the accuracy of Acrobatic shots taken right after a Rainbow Flick.

The FC 26 Title Update V1.1.0 is live bringing a number of improvements based on your feedback. Here’s a quick look at what’s included:

More Effective Manual Defending
We’ve slightly increased Sprint Jockey speed and moderately improved Jockey responsiveness for user-controlled players.
This aims to create a better balance between attacking and defending, giving you a stronger defensive option against skilled dribblers without reducing attacking responsiveness.

Kick-Off Defending Updates
We’ve increased AI player marking aggressiveness during kick-offs in Competitive Gameplay to make quick goals much harder to score.
This change only applies to kick-offs. AI marking in other situations and Authentic Gameplay remains unchanged.

New Evolutions Consumable Preview
Following a Server Release shortly after v1.1.0, you’ll be able to preview Evolution consumables before owning them.
You can:

  • View requirements, challenges, and rewards

  • See which of your players are eligible

  • Plan your upgrades before committing consumables

This update makes it easier to plan and manage your Evolutions with more information upfront.

New SBC Sorting Filters
Two new filters, Sort by Newest and Sort by Expiry, will be available shortly after the update to make browsing and finding SBCs faster and more convenient.

Updates to Manager, Clubs & PC
A number of improvements and fixes have been made across these modes to improve overall stability and performance.

The FC 26 Title Update V1.1.3 is now available, and is driven by your Career Mode Feedback.

We’re updating CPU AI decision making with the intent of making it challenging and engaging to play against, especially on higher difficulties.

The CPU AI will now aim to:

  • Look for passes more often and make quicker decisions about them.
  • Dribble more effectively with sharper turns, less straightforward movement, and less dwelling on the ball.
  • Switch players on defense more often in situations where trailing the runner is not beneficial.

These CPU AI decision making updates apply to both Competitive and Authentic Gameplay. As a reminder, the term CPU AI here is referring to the virtual user controlling the team you're playing against in offline matches.

Goalkeeper Movement Update
We’ve made targeted changes to goalkeeper movement based on your feedback.
• Manual Goalkeeper Movement now has greatly reduced movement speed and covers less ground in open play.
• Goalkeeper Rush To Center has been removed from open play.

➕ We’ve rolled out improvements across modes to give you more progression, flexibility, and quality-of-life updates:

Career Mode
• Continued expansion with weekly Live Challenges, Live Start Points, and Snapshots
• Improvements to functionality and overall usability

Clubs
Major progression upgrades arriving with the Holiday Update:
• Archetype Max Level increased from 60 > 75
• AXP Instant Boosts now usable up to Level 40
• New customizable PlayStyle slot added
• A new signature PlayStyle that upgrades into PlayStyle+ at Level 75

Rush
• New Rush Rematch feature added, letting you vote to stay together and keep playing with your current group even in drop-in matches
• Players can opt in to move forward as a group or opt out to return to menus
• Full groups return to the lobby if a player doesn’t opt in before the timer expires
• Feature will be available shortly after the Holiday Update

Classic XI in Kick Off
The Holiday Update introduces 10 classic teams to Kick Off, letting you relive iconic football moments.

AI Defending – Status Update
We’ve seen your feedback around AI defending, especially cases where it can feel too strong. Teams are actively testing further AI defending changes internally.

Today we’re sharing several changes coming in an early January update, based on your feedback.

Let’s kick things off with Game Designer Rory, who will walk through an upcoming change to AI Defending.

AI Defending

As we mentioned at the end of November, we’re continuing to run our own investigations and tests while reviewing all of your feedback.

In the next update, AI defenders will have slower reaction times when marking the ball carrier, which can result in them leaving more space open while transitioning between actions (Before and After available in the above video).

New Releases Hub in Ultimate Team

We’ll be adding a New Releases hub in Ultimate Team that highlights new SBCs, Objectives, and more.

We’ll share more details closer to release. See below for a sneak peak!

Squad Battles CPU AI

We’ve heard your feedback about the Squad Battles CPU AI becoming too difficult and frustrating to play against, especially on higher difficulties, due to its focus on maintaining possession.

With the next update, the Squad Battles CPU AI will now focus more on moving the ball up the pitch while creating chances quicker.

Career Mode Player Potential Indicator

In the last update, the UI added a new status indicator for a player’s willingness to renegotiate a contract, but it replaced the player potential indicator.

We’ll be bringing back the player potential indicator in an early January update based on your feedback, and the UI will display both indicators.

Title Update v1.4.0 for FC 26 is almost here, including a change to AI Defending, along with updates across Gameplay, Football Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Clubs, and PC. <@&1166435675705454592>

AI Defending
We are making a change that will result in AI defenders having slower reaction times when marking the ball carrier, this can result in them leaving more space open while transitioning between actions
The goal is to make attacks feel more free flowing, and we will continue to monitor your feedback on AI Defending and look to make more adjustments if needed.

Gameplay
We are making changes to improve responsiveness and address frustration across several areas of play.

  • CPU AI behaviour in Squad Battles has been adjusted
  • The CPU will now take a more proactive and attacking approach and will not focus on maintaining possession as much as before

This change follows feedback that recent tuning made sequences feel overly passive, with long periods of low-pressure possession from the CPU AI.

Acceleration Types

  • Updated Acceleration Types height values
  • This change refines the minimum and maximum height thresholds used to determine run types for players

The minimum Lengthy height requirement is now:

  • 185 cm for men’s players
  • 165 cm for women’s players

Defensive Situations

  • Defenders positioned on the goal line can now make automatic clearances in appropriate situations
    This change applies only to last ditch situations where a defender is already in position to block a certain goal at a speed the user might not be able to react to.

  • Shoulder challenges between players with a large Strength Attribute difference will more often result in the player with the lower Strength Attribute stumbling

  • Players with higher Strength and Aggression Attributes can generally be better at shielding the ball

  • We have further reduced the accuracy of Acrobatic shots, such as bicycle kicks, taken right after a flick

Football Ultimate Team
We’ve addressed several issues as well as made improvements to navigation within Ultimate Team.

  • We are adding a New Release hub, a new destination in Ultimate Team to learn about the latest campaigns. This destination highlights content and allows navigation to the latest SBCs, Objectives, and more. This is intended to go live in a server release a few weeks after Title Update 1.4.0.

Addressed Issues

  • Sometimes a trophy would be displayed in the corner of a pitch
  • Sometimes after previewing an Evolution consumable item in an Item Pick and returning to the selection screen, the highlighted item would default to the last item previously selected
  • Addressed cases of a specific UI flow that resulted in the radial menu appearing unintentionally

Career Mode
We’ve made changes to Career Mode including the following:

  • Expanded Player Status Information with separate Contract and General fields
  • Certain Archetype options are now ineligible based on the selected Origin Story in Player Career
  • Replaced Starting Skill Level with Starting AP in Player Career
  • Adjusted Manager Career Job Security logic for situations when managers reach an Insecure job security status
  • Contract durations have been extended up to three years for ICONs and Heroes

Clubs
We’ve addressed the following issues in Clubs:

  • Addressed cases where incorrect Acceleration Types could have been set by the user
  • In some cases, the Team Management screen did not display correct Acceleration Types (visual issue only)

We’ve addressed the following issues on the PC version of FC 26:

  • Refresh rate could’ve unintentionally changed to 60Hz at times
  • Addressed some specific cases of framerate issues occurring in the second half of matches

Career Mode
In an upcoming update when beginning a new Career, you will be able to choose how willing players are to negotiate as their contracts near expiration, with the new Contract Extension setting under Transfer & Scouting. Set it to Normal where factors like playing time matter, or Lenient where players are more open to signing an extension.

Ultimate Team
We're bringing more ways of training and upgrading your club into the game. Coming soon, you’ll be able to start Training Camp Evolutions directly in Ultimate Team, while they'll continue to be available through Companion App.

EA SPORTS FC 26 v1.4.2 is now live for the PC/PS4/PS5/XB1 and XBX|S versions and will soon be available for the Switch / Switch 2 versions. <@&1166435675705454592>

Gameplay

Made the following updates:

  • Addressed an issue where the goalkeeper could've deflected the ball too accurately during an anticipation save.
  • Inaccurate knuckle ball shots could have occurred more often than intended.

Career Mode

Made the following changes:

  • Added a new Contract Extension setting under Transfer & Scouting that enables you to choose how open players might be to contract extensions.
  • Updated visuals and animations for scheduling loading screen.
  • Added a new Social Media panel that surfaces active Challenge Objectives during challenge scenarios.

Addressed the following issues:

  • After requesting a transfer, players could not have always been offered new contacts.
  • In Live Start Points, women’s teams were unintentionally present in some leagues.

Clubs

  • Goalkeepers were sometimes holding the ball for longer than intended when a pass was requested.
  • Once emptied, short-term stamina could have previously only been recovered if players became idle.

General, Audio, and Visual

Made the following changes:

  • Updated some badges, logos, hair, boots, star heads, lighting, kits, tattoos, 2D portraits, scarves, banners, cameras, button callouts, overlays and TIFOs

Addressed the following issues:

  • Addressed various stability issues that could have occurred.

**February Feedback Update **

Throughout February, we’ve continued tracking your feedback across all modes. Today we wanted to highlight upcoming changes to PlayStyles and address a recent fix to Finesse Shots.

Finesse Shot
We recently addressed the Finesse Shot issue. The problem was resolved by rolling back a change from Title Update 1.4.2. In those patch notes, the change was described as:
"Inaccurate knuckle ball shots could have occurred more often than intended."

Following the rollback, Finesse Shots should now be performing as expected. We’ll continue monitoring feedback and gameplay data, but this fix is now live.

**PlayStyles & Attributes – Upcoming Update **
A major theme in your feedback has been that attributes should feel more powerful and impactful, with PlayStyles enhancing players rather than defining their entire effectiveness. In an upcoming update, we’ll be tuning attributes and several PlayStyles to better reflect that philosophy.

The following PlayStyles will be receiving changes:

Tiki Taka, Incisive Pass, Inventive Pass. We will also be bringing some overall changes to Power Shots and Chip Shots.

Our goal is to bring more weight and value back to core attributes, while ensuring PlayStyles remain meaningful differentiators at the highest levels of play. We’re looking forward to sharing the full details in the pitch notes coming soon.

Title Update 1.5.0 FC

Hey <@&1166435675705454592> Title Update 1.5.0 is coming soon to FC 26.

This update brings changes to gameplay and updates to multiple modes inspired by feedback from the community.

Gameplay

Passing
• Improved accuracy and speed of ground passing, with impact being most noticeable on players with higher passing attributes
• Added the ability for players without the Incisive Pass PlayStyle but with high attributes in Short Pass, Long Pass, and Curve to contextually curve through balls
• Reduced the accuracy of lofted passes

Power Shot
• Improved the trajectory of Power Shots to increase the potential of scoring from longer ranges
• Increased Power Shot accuracy when taken with the Power Shot PlayStyle and PlayStyle+

Chip Shot
• Tuned Chip Shots to be less likely to go wide
• Increased accuracy of Chip Shots
• Players with the Chip Shot PlayStyle perform Chip Shots with additional accuracy

Tiki Taka PlayStyle
• To avoid overly accurate passing and decrease some of the gap between passing with and without PlayStyles, the accuracy of ground and first-time passes with the Tiki Taka PlayStyle has been reduced.
• Ground passes performed with Tiki Taka PlayStyle still benefit from the overall improvements in accuracy and speed listed above, ensuring the PlayStyle remains a useful attacking option.

Inventive PlayStyle
• The accuracy of lofted ground and through passes using the Inventive PlayStyle and Inventive PlayStyle+ has been slightly increased
• This is to slightly compensate for the accuracy reduction to lofted passes mentioned in the passing section. With the PlayStyle+, lofted passes will still be slightly less accurate than before the patch, by lofted passes, we are referring to double tapping the ground pass or through pass button.

Additional Gameplay Updates
• Increased the speed of Fake Shot, Heel Chop, and Feint and Exit by 5%
• Addressed an issue where attacking players could remain stationary after repositioning

Career

• Introduced Dynamic Development Plans to Career to more closely reflect a player’s role
• Training Plans will be automatically pre-selected based on the player’s closest available role
• Dynamic Development Plans will adapt to Tactic changes
• Added a new visual Pitch Wear setting when starting a new save
• Improved player contract extension behaviour when using the Normal setting
• Players with less than a year on their contract will already be open to negotiation when you join a new club
• At the start of a new season, around 50% of players with expiring contracts will be open to negotiation

Season 6 adds Ronaldinho, Gareth Bale, Fernando Torres, and Aya Miyama to the ICON rotation in Player Career.

Clubs

(server release following Title Update 1.5.0)
• Increased the Archetype Level Cap from 80 to 90
• Increased the maximum range of Archetype-specific attributes
• Increased Archetype Customisable PlayStyle Slots from 7 to 8, unlocked at level 90

**Ultimate Team **

Addressed the following issues:

  • When adding or swapping Player Items to a Squad or SBC, the filter was using Any by default instead of selecting the position highlighted.

Career Mode

Made the following changes:

  • Updated some social media posts.
  • Updated the injury duration selection in the Injuries and Suspensions menu.
  • Improved visibility of qualification zones in competition standings in Deeper Sim.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Swapping to the Position tab while in Development Plans would cause Role Growth to disappear.
  • Addressed instances of overlapping text.
  • When playing matches in Manager Live, all players on the field were using the same boots.
  • In certain challenges, some leagues were shown as unavailable when attempting to replace teams.
  • Some players were incorrectly displayed as out of position in the match preview screen.
  • Sometimes, Scout reports could provide incorrect attribute values.

Clubs

Addressed the following issues:

  • Further adjusted Match Rating calculation logic for CAMs to avoid unintentionally high calculations.

General, Audio, and Visual

Made the following changes:

  • Updated some crests, banners, scarves, flags, scenes, camera angles, overlays, celebrations, text, hair, ad boards and cinematics.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Addressed various stability issues that could have occurred.

Gameplay

Addressed the following issues:

  • Goalkeepers will now kick the ball out of play if a player excessively wastes time by passing back to them over and over again.
  • This change is to address rare scenarios that are inauthentic to football and does not impact a typical back pass.

Ultimate Team

Addressed the following issues:

  • Some kits and badges were not searchable in the transfer market.
  • Some Player Celebration animation previews did not display when selected.

Career Mode

Made the following changes:

  • Added a missing separator in European competition standings, making it easier to see which teams advance to playoffs.
  • In Career Mode, when applying for a job, it now automatically adds the team to your watchlist.
  • Added labels next to team crests in challenge descriptions to clearly differentiate men's and women's teams.
  • Added a clearer description on the challenge completion UI to explain how saves and career progress work after completion.
  • Managers with low job security at season's end are now upgraded to Okay.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Sometimes, Managers were incorrectly assigned to a different team when selecting Icons & Heroes in career creation.
  • In the Manager Career, ICON players could have requested low wages during contract negotiations.
  • In some cases, a League-winning team was placed in the incorrect European League.
  • Addressed instances of incorrect or overlapping text.

General, Audio, and Visual

Made the following changes:

  • Updated some names, overlays, kits, sponsors, crests, banners, scarves, flags, logos, hair, boots, star heads, ad boards.

Hey <@&1166435675705454592>! Welcome to our latest Feedback Update where we want to discuss the Bruiser Playstyle. This has been a popular item of feedback so we’ve taken a close look and in an upcoming update will be bringing the following changes.

Bruiser vs Attributes
Previously, shoulder challenges heavily favoured the tackler when using Bruiser. With this update:

  • We’ve slightly reduced the boost from Bruiser and Bruiser+

  • Added a matching boost for dribblers with Enforcer or Enforcer+

    ➡️ This creates a more even, head-to-head interaction rather than one-sided outcomes

Shoulder Challenge Outcomes
We’ve improved how players react after contact:

  • Stronger tacklers can still knock weaker players off balance at wider angles

  • Weaker tacklers will no longer overpower stronger dribblers

    ➡️ This means better chances to recover possession if you’re the stronger player

Challenges From Behind
We’ve improved detection for situations where a shoulder challenge might hit from behind:

  • The system now predicts player movement slightly ahead

  • If it detects back contact, the challenge is cancelled

    ➡️ This reduces frustrating or unfair tackles, though we’ll keep monitoring this space.

Visual

  • Addressed cases where the Bruiser+ icon appeared even when it wasn’t actually impacting the play

    ➡️ This should help reduce confusion around when the Playstyle is active

The World’s Game Update

Welcome to The World’s Game Update, coming soon to FC 26 FC <@&1166435675705454592>

Featuring a new 48-team international tournament mode, Football Ultimate Team, Festival of Football content, gameplay updates based on community feedback, and more.

International Tournament Mode

Launching 4 June, a brand-new 48-team tournament mode arrives in FC 26 with 53 fully licensed and playable national teams, including 41 competing over the summer.

Play through:
• Three group stage matches
• Top two teams progress
• Eight best third-placed teams qualify
• Round of 32 → Knockout rounds → Final

Additional national teams will also be playable in Kick Off mode and new international tournament Objectives have been added.

Football Ultimate Team

Festival of Football ICON Pelé

Log in and play FC 26 between 5 June and 24 July to earn:

• 93 OVR Festival of Football ICON Pelé
• Three ‘Choose Your Journey’ Evolutions

Choose between:
• ST with Low Driven+
• CAM/CM with Incisive Pass+
• LW/RW with Finesse Shot+

Evolutions

Starting 4 June, players will be able to:

• Roll back Evolutions
• Fully reset Evolutions in Club

Tokens can be earned through:

Starting in Festival of Football, Tokens become the primary way to earn rewards in FUT each week.

Weekly limit:
• Up to 1,000 Tokens each week
• 5,000 Tokens total during Festival of Football

Tokens can be spent on:

• Packs
• Evolutions
• Club Customisation

FUT Champions Tokens and a FUT Champions Store will also be introduced in Season 8.

Journey of Nations introduces an Event Hub for the Festival of Football Season.

• Added a slight boost to the shoulder challenge receiver if they have Enforcer or Enforcer+
• Improved shoulder challenge outcomes based on Strength and PlayStyles differences
• Added logic to predict when a shoulder challenge may hit the back of the opponent and cancel the challenge
• Addressed a visual bug where the Bruiser+ icon displays when the PlayStyle wasn’t in effect

Intercept

• Players without the Intercept PlayStyle but with a 90+ Interceptions attribute rating can now access the same animations.

Team Press

• Reduced pressure on the ball carrier when Team Press is activated in the defensive half
• AI defenders will not double up if the user controls a defender marking the ball carrier
• Reduced marking tightness of AI opponents in the defensive half
• Team Press in the attacking half remains unchanged

• National teams can be selected at the beginning of a new save following a server release
• Added End of Season Live Starting Points
