#Autokick-system is overly aggressive

Summary
This update implemented a system that automatically kicks players who didnt contribute to the boss, but the way to the boss can be blocked by a death orb if team members (accidentally or intentionally) start the boss early. Kicking the player in question consumes their blessing while denying them quest progress and loot. I believe the combination of these two features (autokick and death orbs) has a significant, unintended negative impact on gameplay.

Chunka Frost Cavern, but the issue applies to any boss which features death orbs. (if I remember correctly the death orbs were added with the previous major patch.)

alternative solution if you're on the tail end of this terribly implemented design, quit before the boss dies. at least until they fix this.

what actually happened? someone afked in a blue dungeon and got kicked while still ONLINE?

I mean if

  • you're waiting at last boss for recruiting last member or waiting recruited ones to join the party.
  • if you die and can not join the ongoing battle due to orb or firewall.
  • if you die and can no resurrect while the fight is still on until it ends.
    if in any of these situations the auto kick is triggered. that's too aggressive towards players

in the case of CFC as well, because it has the purple insta kill aoe's while the boss can't take damage, dying to them and not attacking the boss before it dies would also be liable to a kick and loss of blessing. Sounds way too aggressive for something that could commonly happen.

The system is good idea, always the players making it bad. It's better to let it like this than taking it out. There are more slackers than accidents unfortunately

I wonder if rejoining after disconnecting also triggers this? And I see a lot of trolling potential here - inviting people right before boss dies, to waste their blessing.

i love being kicked from the party and losing 8 bless bc nobody would reset after i died outside boss room giggle

I do not know if this is a bug or not. I took some friends to CS on my main (I had no blessing). Everyone was in the fight, no afk's, no floor povs. As he died, every single person got kicked out and said they did not contribute. Oddly, I was the only person able to turn in their MW quest after. So my friends lost their bless (sad) and loot because I went to help them? No one was afk. All contributed to the fight. All were kicked out, stripped of their bless, and unable to loot or turn in their Purple MW quest. Is this intended? I can't help people?? We just did Pigsty before without any issue.

(Waiting to be able to respond...) yeah its not a fun system... ive not heard of that specific issue happening anywhere other than cold storage.

Can i use this great system intentionally , so i can kick player before the last boss , some dungeons like nexus take a lot of time , i can lure some player to help me go faster to the last boss , and start the boss before they join the room , is a great NC soft nah ?!!
