You protect your cat two times when he jumps 3 times, on the third jump you E, then also when he's in the middle and drags you and the cat, you F roll E and SS. That way your cat will survive till the end of the fight. (Even if you don't have the skills available, play around with the same mechanic)

I also just stop attacking, I'd rather have the cat get air combo'd than me. I can still kd the boss right after a air combo on the cat.

When you E, you have to make sure she attacks, so that means you click either left or right mouse button or tab so that the cat goes at the boss. In most cases, 99%, she's going to get air time. But it won't kill her.

Im starting to think that cat grab is a bit overrated. Only relevant content rn is mines and bt. You can get a few grabs on bt1, and 3 on mines. For mines you get 24s of uptime total, and its only beneficial if you have classes in the comp that actually nees the focus

And if theres a lancer than their grab is just better overall anyway

the following numbers are totally manually calculated by reading the battle log, i would never use any illegal third party program
tests were done at the lvl 65 dummy for 5 min each
damage includes cat & drain/ gimme light hits but crit rate is for sunflower (and ssf) hits only

i'll probably just stick to gimme light for now even though it seems to be lower dps, higher crit rate means more focus regen and might be useful
as said before you get honey buff with tumble roll anyway so drain in a real fight might not be as useful

also the 5% crit rate applies even without a hit, so you only really miss out on 6 photo stacks if you're out of range

You don't particularly have to lock these skills but it can/will improve your gameplay as a summoner. (I learned it the hard way, by using them for to long and gimping myself for a while)

Back when i first played live i only played smn cause i wanted to physically summon things, cause thats a fun archetype to play

Than bns smn was just a nature wizard with a cat

But its still a lotta fun

after getting 10 photosynthesis you get into overflow, or they just recently renamed overflow into full bloom
during full bloom you can use super sunflower
with honey buff each super sunflower hit extends full bloom by 0.2 sec
which means as long as you have just a tiny bit of full bloom left and honey buff and keep attacking something, you'll stay in full bloom
